Sorry but I'm not buying this argument. Women are paid less than men for performing the SAME job. However, it is not Bush's fault.

What Kerry did during the three debates was essentially "throw all the mud you can find against the wall to see if anything sticks."

Some mud will and some won't. It's just a trick. He and Edwards are both snake oil salesmen.

If they really and truly "had plans," why were they not discussed in the year or more then both have been running for the Presidency. All of a sudden on the eve of a debate, they articulate points of their plan? Sounds like they were trying to prevent a true analysis of their plans by the public and the press.

Well, glad to hear that! I think I'll start a law firm (or maybe accounting, etc, ....you name it) & hire only women.

What a market advantage I'll have, since my labor costs will be so low!

Thanks for the tip.

This is flat out FALSE. It is a LIE and PROPAGANDA. And all three together.

See the following from Thomas Sowell "The grand fallacy":

Think about it. If an employer could hire four women for the price of hiring three men, why would he ever hire men at all?

Even if the employer was the world's biggest sexist, he could still not survive in business if his competitors were getting one-third more output from their employees for the same money.

Otherwise, no hard feelings on this topic.

BS...I was at this place the other night where women were getting all these bills stuffed in their underwear. When I took my pants off they threw me out of place.

"Sorry but I'm not buying this argument. Women are paid less than men for performing the SAME job."

So you're saying that women are smart enough to do the job but not smart enough to negotiate a raise?

One more item.

The same job doesn't mean the same output. For instance, take backhoe operators, both having the same job. If one can perform 50% faster, then that employee can negotiate a far higher pay than the other.

Please be more careful. Some women may be paid less than men for the same job. However, they could leave that abusive work enviornment and go somewhere where they are paid what they are worth. I always did men's work and made as much or more than the men I worked with. So, eventually they ended up working for me. People who want the brass ring need to go for it. Or, they can wait around til the federal minimum wage goes to $7/hr in five years.

Not true, women actually make a statstically insignificant amount more than men for performing the same job with the same training and experience.

My experience, while anecdotal, has suggested just the opposite.

As if this hasn't been going on since time began! How anyone could think this is Bush's fault is a stretch.

Not in my field, we're not.

Simply not true. The "same job" doesn't even exist in anything beyond burger flipper. I have 25 years experience in my field. Someone with 15 years experience in the "same job" gets paid significantly less that I.

That is the point of the article if you acrually READ it.
