Paul Begal Dancing on Chris Reeve's Casket
CNN's Crossfire | 10-11-04 | no dems

Posted on 10/11/2004 2:01:24 PM PDT by no dems

Dear God, I can't believe it !! Christoher Reeve's body is hardly cold and Paul Begala, the left-wing, radical co-host of CNN's Crossfire,is dancing on his casket already. One can't say he's "dancing on his grave" because he isn't even in the ground yet. During his despicable monologue today he said that "Christopher Reeve was mentioned in Friday night's debate by HIS FRIEND, John Kerry." He then went on to say that Christopher Reeve had committed his life to lobbying for stem cell research in hopes of finding a cure for his paralysis. He did not fail to mention that George W. Bush opposes embryonic stem cell research but John Kerry and Nancy Reagan favor it.

If it wasn't for low class, this guy and the Dims would have no class at all. Hopefully, this will put a bad taste in the mouth of honorable Americans.

It seems that I remember Bill Clinton being President during more years of Mr. Reeve's paralysis than President Bush. Why are they not hammering Clinton for not getting him cured?

>>>Why are they not hammering Clinton for not getting him cured?

That would mean they had to tell the truth. They can't do that.

Did they mention that Bush was the first President to allow Federal funding for stem cell research?

Paul Begala: The other side's Sean Hannity.

That's an insult to both of them... :)

Uh ... well, except for his OWN "do as I say, not as I do" project, right?

"The other side's Sean Hannity."

Not hardly, troll! Hannity has some class; Begala doesn't. Begala is the embodiment of the democrat party of today.

Bush does not oppose embryonic stem cell research. He opposes FEDERAL FUNDING of embryonic stem cell research, unless it involves a few dozen lines of cells already in existence.

It's just another fine example of how the liberal media lies for partisan purposes.

This idea (stem cell research) is much more powerful than the facts justify.

As befits a post-Christian, lost world.

From the post: " embryonic stem cell research - "

Can what President Bush wants to do - match what the embryonic stem cell research does - Is there any proof one way or the other as to which gives the best results - ?

I understand the base difference - I just want to know if there is proof that the research needs to be "embroyonic"

just wondering -

I knew last night that this would happen and of course it had to be that little, little man Begala. Of course, it pretty much is par for the course. I saw Susan Estrich on the Fox News show one Saturday practically do cartwheels in happiness because there were like 2-3 days of multiple deaths of US soldiers in Iraq. She just wouldn't stop talking about how great that news was for Kerry. It was so bad that Rich Galen and Tony Snow actually called her on it and stopped the interview because she was showing such bad taste. First time I ever saw her get cut off like that.

Off topic, though somewhat related story you might enjoy..in the late 70's I was at a conference in Rio...usual company junket. One night after dinner, about 11pm, several couples were walking around the downtown area of Rio..we came to a huge plaza..lots of lights, and a big crowd. It was the Rio premier week of Superman..most of us hadn't seen it..though it'd be fun.. One of those old ornate movie palaces..like we used to have here in the states..seated some 6,000...we're down in the front rows, only seats left..it's in original English, with Portugese subtitles, so very enjoyable. If you remember the climatic scene at the end of the movie, when Superman picks up the huge American flag, and plants it atop the WH..well, the 10 of us started to cheer and applaud, and the 5000+ in the theater started booing and screaming....we "beat feet" out of the theater..
