President Bush and Senator Flipper squared off tonight in Missouri for their second debate and our President knocked it out of the park
ENJOY YOUR VISIT TO SANITY ISLAND!
I am so sick and tired of this garbage about 'winning the peace'!!! When, in all of history, has any leader ever gone into a war knowing how it would end and what would happen in the aftermath???
I want someone to tell me what Lincoln's plan for winning the peace was. Or FDR's. Or Washington's. Or Caesar's. Or Alexander the Great's. Or anyone else's.
Ever!
In all of history!
Leaders go into battle to win ... sometimes for good reason and sometimes for terrible excuses. But they don't go into battle to win any d***** peace afterwards.
Now, speaking of sleep..............G'nite all!
***Carl Rove now preparing to toast Alan Colmes . . . who is having a bad hair day BTW . . . must have been pulling it out while Kerry talked . . .***
Which reminds me. I was watching on ABC and their camera kept showing Kerry from the partial front and partial side view. His hair which he thinks is so beautiful was UGGGLY! I would hate to have to touch it because it looked...um...repulsive.
Amen Kitty our prayers were answered I really felt that as I said earlier on Pray for the President thread that the venue was claimed for good and evil was exposed.
God Bless President George W Bush
I never check out those polls . . . my computer is too slow! :-)
How's your back? Hopefully not sore from all the stress of this.
Good night Ohio!
no worries snugs! Our voting system is exactly the same as yours in the UK - polling booths close at 6pm our time (9am your time tomorrow morning) and the results should be in within a couple of hours. So hopefully you will be hearing the good news when you are enjoying a morning cuppa.
Thank you for the links, Julie! Wonderful idea!
Before I forget--another bizzare moment on the Kerry side . . .when he mentioned his wife doing/saying something?!?!?!?
I am so sick of hearing about jobs, health care, etc.,etc., etc. I've seen so many poor workers/people who won't show up for work/people who won't work when they show up . . . yet we're supposed to provide for them.
I really like your fishing analogy, and it's becoming more and more clear every day.
I believe PM Howard is going to get there. Funny they mentioned on the radio just before that Mr Latham (the opposition leader) won a local raffle at his polling booth this morning - I thought that this is the ONLY thing this bloke is going to win today. BTW he won a box of fresh fruit. LOL
***had to do the Hiemlich(sp) on myself...LOL***
Where was Mike? :-)
Along with an altar boy . . . he mentioned this in about the last question . . . HE WAS IN A WAR!!!! Can you believe it!?!!?
I'm thrilled to hear that PM Howard is doing well. I've been praying for him, too.
Actually I was at local MExican restaurant tonight they were watching Bush debate in Spanish even I overheard the diners going in Spanish OMG What wrong with Kerry LOLOL!
OUCH that hurt LOL!
God Bless President George W Bush.
Amen!!
***Not only that, but sKerry gave him a great line for his campaign "want some wood?"***
LOL
I saw this pic on the live thread but the thread was moving so fast it was useless to respond.
What a great pic! Does he look good or what?? Happy, confident, manly - he could be the model on an Old Spice commercial!
I didn't listen to the debate, but by the tenor of the thread, it seems that GWB carried the evening. Thank goodness!
What a man!
***......but Bush's witty retort ( 'Need some timber?')was great.....it was a stunning moment. ***
Yes, it was. :-) If I had the money, I'd have a truckload of wood, and a truckload of flipflops delivered to . . . whichever of his houses he might be in . :-)
His abortion issue non-answer missed the basis of faith of anyone who HAS a faith.
"*** some variation of the 39-35-26 (D-R-I) schemata,***
Why do the dims get a higer percentage? Is that standard, or are there more of them? Or is it the usual bias?"
Some pollsters claim the 39-35-26 percentages reflect the turnout ratios for the 2000 election; however, we now live in a 'post-911' and 'post-2002 election' world -- I'm convinced the percentages are now either 40-40-20 or 45-45-10 (I'm leaning more toward the latter)!!!!
