A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Thanks, Mixer!
1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar. 2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up. 3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit. 4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it. 5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me a FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer

Morning, Meg. We're all praying for President Bush, not just for tonight's debate, but for his safety and strength to withstand the endless verbal assaults and setbacks.

Barbecue, auction will benefit HEARTS Museum
By Kurt Allen/Assistant Managing Editor
Isrella Ashley stands with a patriotic quilt she made for donation to Saturday's HEARTS Veterans Museum of Texas silent auction and barbecue, set for the Samuel Walker Houston Cultural Center. Ashley made the quilt in memory of her husband, Lee. Submitted photo.
With the Dignity Memorial Vietnam Wall Experience coming to Huntsville next month and construction plans already under way for the new HEARTS Veterans Museum, there's a lot going on at the building's future site on Highway 75 North.
As the wall makes it way to the area Nov. 4 to 7, museum officials are working hard on a lot of different things to help keep the construction of the massive new building moving.
First, though, is the need for money to pay for the construction, and to help that need, museum officials are hosting a barbecue and silent auction Saturday at the Samuel Walker Houston Cultural Center on 10th Street.
The event mixes food, auctions and fun in an effort to support construction of a new complex to house the museum, which currently resides inside West Hill Mall.

November 2nd has been called "Veteran's Day" by many - this will be a great way to start the museum's Wall event. Justice for vietnam vets.

A lot of people are praying for our President and that our nation to be spared from a Kerry Presidency. This time last campaign we had no idea how rough it was going to be in the days *following* the election, and it's just unbelievable that there is so much hatred and unrest this year BEFORE we even get to the polls.

I hope he gets the kind of respect in St. Louie he deserves....there and everywhere he goes. :)Well, Missouri is Bush country. Maybe not in the city, but the 'burbs' will give him the state. : )
Hopefully his coat-tails will be long enough to elect Mel Blount as Gov.
