WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE SKYS OVER NORTHERN OHIO?
On Wednesday morning September 22nd, 2004 a caller rang the WTAM morning show, Wills and Coleman in the Morning, to report the sightings of strange colors in the sky. Other callers reported seeing the same thing while others tried to describe and/or explain the image. (You can hear a sampling of the calls below).
Afternoon host Mike Trivisonno was curious and ventured into his backyard to see for himself. Although he did not see the lights he did see something peculiar, jet contrails all over the crystal clear Cleveland sky. The contrails extended in all directions as far as the eyes can see. The contrails formed a checkerboard pattern. In all of Trivisonnos years on this planet he had never seen anything like it. Or maybe it was he just never noticed it. He played the phone calls from that morning and mentioned his observations on his #1 rated afternoon show that day and asked the question What the heck is going on
Compare the two photos taken one year apart.
(Both sightings were in Ohio.)
We had a severe storm pass over Greene County, Ohio tonight (September 19, 2005). I was outside trying to capture some lightening photos with my digital camera at 10:30pm when I noticed this group of lights passing overhead. Note the smaller light (left side of frame) trailing behind the larger group of lights. Two things were unusual about these lights; (1) I have never known a plane to fly through such severe weather and (2) I could not hear a sound coming from this object, which appeared to be flying just under the cloud cover.
I have included a picture that I zoomed in as tight as possible without creating too much distortion. The tight shot certainly reveals some detail of what appears to be a solid shape. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who may be able to better analyze this photograph.
Both pictures are unaltered in any manner other than to zoom the grouping of lights. The camera I used was a Sony DCP-150
The above object was photographed by the Olmsted Falls Police photographer near Cleveland Hopkins International Airport approximately one year ago. (See posting 215 for a link to the series of photos that were taken by the Olmsted Falls Police near the airport on September 26, 2004.)
I just did a few simple photoshop tests, blocking out the visible light and lightening the remaining darkness...and analyzing the dark areas after having trimmed out the lights. Vy interesting, however inconclusive. There is a lot going on in those photos that the naked eye can't picked (master of the obvious, eh :), there are less powerful lights that are drowned out by the ones that are visible. Might be reflections on a surface or on moisture in the air.
Also, the colors in both photos are basically identical when broken down into groupings.
You said it was lightening when you took your photo, was it raining in the area you photographed or was it dry?
I didn't take the photo, it was taken in Greene County (somewhere near Dayton in Southern Ohio),you'll find more information in the link below;

Its a shame there are no details - height, speed, duration, etcetera.
Thanks LVD.
**FYI: It was requested that I post this by FREEPER eyewitness,
LVD
Thanks for spreading the word LVD - sounds very creditable and apparently not so uncommon in that neck of the woods!
Look very much like the high alt missile tracks we see in So Cal when they launch from Vandenberg...
:') Not in a new topic?
My daughter is engaged to a young man in Cleveland who must drive 6 hours to see her, and he rushes back at the very last minute possible to get to work. Those pictures are from him trying to get back into town before his boss gigs him for being late. Wait 'till I tell him about all the fuss he is causing!
THANKS FOR THE PING.

I'm somewhat familiar with those two FREEPERS. As I understand it, after tonight's experience they were talking with the 2nd cousin of one of them. And the cousin's mother (deceased several years ago) years before her death had seen a "very large" circular UFO silently go up the river near their home at night. The craft was probably 100-200 feet away at one point in it's silent glide up the river not much above the cliff bordering the river on the South. That craft was reportedly more than 100' in diameter. Their home is probably about 2-4 miles from Aztec.
The mother was a County Judge and a very no-nonsense woman who told it like it was regardless of who was listening and what the listeners thought.
I grew up in the 4 Corners area and cannot say I saw any UFO's all those growing up years. There may have been some strange lights occasionally but none doing anything that forced a UFO label.
On the other hand, around 1957 there was a massive UFO flyover that extended over several hours, if not days. My uncle worked at Smoke's Chevrolet at the time. He saw them and so did the owner. The owner is still alive and still refuses to talk about it, last I heard. There were some reports that they were warned against talking about it. A very close relative of that uncle eventually worked at a highly secret location in Nev where he routinely saw UFO's coming and going in the normal course of his duties.
Then there was the reported crash of a medium sized UFO north of Aztec in I think the '40's. That uncle's son reportedly rode out to look at the site within a week of the crash and it was already thoroughly cleaned up.
About all I have on such goings on locally.
Ah yeah! I am the Mothership Connection.
It's the haliburton of contrails with skull and cross bones controlled by the creature from heckle island, come to take our tin foil hats and put us back on the gold standard, all controlled by krazy karl rove and his wacky weather machine.
You're right! I can see the hidious, the, the OhTheHughMantee! Better makeup on the first one.
Very interesting. Aztec has been a hotbed for many ufo sighting in my readings and research, most notably, the UFO crash in March 1948 with 14 or 16 ebe's on board, depending on who's telling the story. Thanks for the update!
Contrail threads on FR. Just like the good ol' days. :)

I have 2 problems with that assertion that indicate it's false.
1. This is not about contrails
2. The hostility from the naysayers is not allowed to get quite as shrill and quite as off the wall.
Thanks.
That's the first I've read of that many EBE's onboard the 1948 crash.
It's ours FRiend.
Now -- about loose lips...
