Ooh! I have the feeling that Kerry the Slick will chew him up about his performance as Kerry sees his lifelong plan for the Presidency slide down the shute. . . but, it's not entirely Edward's fault. I completely agree.
To: Howlin
What even was Edwards talking about? Does he think my wife and I would have to get remarried 49 times if we moved from state to state?
Too bad Cheney was weak on that one.
Otherwise, basically, Cheney RULED.

Does the Veep debate ever have much influence on the polls? I didn't think so, but tonight just migh. From what I saw from the polls (as if I believe them), more people were going to watch this VP debate than ever before. So, yes...it could have some impact. I hope to God it does.

John Kerry says he can do a better job than President Bush.
Oh really?
What is Kerrys record during his 20 years in the Senate?
Kerry voted against most of the major weapons systems that our troops use today.
Kerry voted against the $87 billion for support of the troops, after he voted for it.
Kerry led the fight against President Bush's Department Of Homeland Security, voting against it six times and delaying it for 112 days.
Kerry missed more than 75% of the meetings of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Kerry proposed slashing the intelligence budget by $7.5 billion after the first attack on the World Trade Center.
Kerry has voted at least 350 times for higher taxes.
Kerry has been able to persuade congress to pass only eight insignificant laws that bear his name, and most of those were strictly ceremonial.
Kerry has proposed that use of force by the US must meet a global test.
Kerry voted against the first Gulf War, after Saddam invaded Kuwait. By Kerrys standards, Saddam would still be in power, and in Kuwait.
Kerry says he has a plan. Custer had a plan, too.
Kerry can do a better job than President Bush? Oh really?

We are in total agreement. I used the bar as an example of how poorly self regulation within the community of lawyers works.

I agree. I watch reruns of 'The Nanny' instead of them now. Starting to go left? Especially O'Reilly.
To: Howlin
LOL! I'll bet Kerry would like to know that too.

Cheney crushed Edwards and now news agencies are starting to report that fact. I said earlier Cheney took Edwards to the woodshed and now it's being reported.

Here's a transcript of the "Senator Gone" reference:
"VICE PRESIDENT RICHARD CHENEY: Senator, frankly, you have a record in the Senate that's not very distinguished. You missed 33 out of 36 meetings in the Judiciary Committee. Almost 70% of the meetings of the Intelligence Committee. You've missed a lot of key votes on tax policy, on energy, on Medicare reform. Your hometown newspaper has taken to calling you Senator Gone. You've got one of the worst attendance records in the United States Senate. Now, in my capacity as Vice President I am the President of the Senate, the presiding officer. I'm up in the Senate most Tuesdays when they're in session. The first time I ever met you was when you walked on the stage tonight. (Vice President Richard Cheney, Vice Presidential Debate, Cleveland, OH, 10/5/04)"

If I hear Hannity bring up this nuclear freeze thing again I'm going to scream!
He thinks he's found something significant that no one else has found and he brings it up every 35 seconds with a very stern look on his face! He does this all the time! I'm quickle becoming an un-fan of his.

Question 4 = global test, Senator Edwards
Edwards doesn't answer. Just doesn't answer. Says we have to tell the truth. To Americans. To world. A fillibuster. Finishes with a "no control" promise.
This no response was GIVEN a B grade, for a NO RESPONSE?
To: MMkennedy
The Corner on NRO is pretty pathetic tonight with about half of the cornerites calling the debate a draw. How can anyone who watched this slaughter consider it a draw? I have noticed a rather pessimistic pattern on NRO of late, but this is ridiculous
It is possible to be smart, like most of the NRO people are, and not perceptive. Raw intellect does not a good commentator make. I'm generally very unimpressed by most of what I read coming out of NRO.

Worth repeating.
"Edwards looked like a dog yapping at an adult."
To: ArmstedFragg
I devoutly hope that the RNC puts together a montage of Edwards expressions to counter the montage of Bush's. Yes..Edwards saying "America's light is flickering" is a really good one.
By the way...I had a hundred responses when I criticized Bush's poor debate performance on Thurs, and NOW that I am praising Cheney as winning this debate, NONE of the same posters have a response.
That is sad.
