It actually works to Cheney's advantage, if the Pubs use it right. This is a man who for the last 4 years has been President of the Senate yet he's supposed to remember meeting a Jr. Senator at a prayer breakfast 3 years ago?
You'd think that Edwards would have shown up to work often enough that his "boss" would remember him being there.

Someone needs to do a tally of how many times John Edwards blinked during the debate. And clock it to blinks per second (4 or 5 I would say).
If they want a superficial take on the debate, that will sink them this time around.

Krystol was furious at Estrich for questioning his truthfulness.

I found you! I gave up posting on this thread awhile ago, way too slow. Time to go check out Leno on the West Coast. I heard Dennis Miller is good tonight saying good things about GWB.
Talk to you later!

Apparently Checney did have a chance encounter with Edwards prior to this debate, but as one of the people (forget who) said it would then make the debate only the SECOND time the two have met. Either way you cut it, the point is that Edwards was AWOL in the senate, and spectacularly so.
To be honest, I hope they bring this up again becaise it will give Cheney the opportunity to then so - "OK, so we met ONCE before. The debate was then only the SECOND time I met John Edwards.". Still a pretty damning statement IMHO.

Edwards: Not Ready for Prime Time.
That punk has no business being a heartbeat away from the Presidency.
A major lack of GRAVITAS.

You're probably right, but you know how the NY Times and the rest of those knuckleheads will go with something like this. I was watching MSNBC and Matthews was fixated on Cheney's comment, almost like he was looking for something to hang Cheney with
To: silent_jonny
saw it on kerry's blog. you gotta know what they are doing too if you want to win this thing

"Bill Kystol just reamed Susan Estrich"Krystal said he resented being called a liar by Estrich. Kewl- kind of a shocker coming from him though, he seems to be the quiet type. Rich Lowry jumped in too, but then Greta ended the segment . Too bad.
President Bush and the pubbies should take a lesson from this.

I saw her ugly mugg come on television and turned the channel before her voice pierced my eardrums. Who's honesty was she questioning and what did Krystol do/say?

And that was a damn good line, too. "This is the first time I've met you." Whew--it jarred my eye-teeth loose!

I'm not exactly worried about Matthews, what's his audience now? 90k people, plus 20 Freepers who tune in and watch the disintegration?
