These months, FR is nothing else than a "SUPPORT BUSH"-site. Every topic, whether domestic or foreign is related to the Bush/Kerry race. Pretty boring, and even worse, not a very reasonable style of discussion. You can´t say anything which could be understood as an expression of criticism for Bush/Cheney. Sad. I hope, this gets better here after Nov. 2nd.

Hello-o? This is not about Kerry/Bush, this is about terror hoaxes! And this not only affects Germans or French, but also Americans and British, Israelis and Italians!

So do you think the "Team Kerry" mosaic is out of place?

Two years is a long time to be a lib lurker, I'd think.

While your point about terror hoaxes is an interesting one...it is something to be dealt with at another time. There is no question that the Islamo-fascists consider the American election not just the most important thing in the world, essentially they consider it the only thing in the world to be concerned with. They want to build on their success in overthrowing the Spanish government with terror acts six months ago. They want to do the same thing here by raising terror attacks worldwide (and in the U.S.) to a crescendo so as to assist their candidate Kerry into the White House and to the "negotiating table."

That means that every "hoax" or every warning must be taken as real until definitively proven it's not -- even if that slows traffic and disrupts economies for the next month. After that, we can readdress these things.

My suggestion to you is start thinking about the U.S. election as the only thing on the planet that matters. Your future depends on it.

And the French and Germans had better get on board. with us, or they'll all be speaking Arabic one day, and wearing a table cloth and a fan belt on their heads.

France and Germany don't pass the global anti-terrorism test.

When it comes to terrorism, it's very much about Bush v. Kerry. If Kerry wins, I have no faith that we'll do much to protect ourselves. Israel was right to force the plane to land elsewhere. If others insist on being Kerry-like about inspections, then let their countrymen/airline customers suffer for it. No need for the plane to blow up in Israel.

Actually, John Kerry does factor in because he made a point of roundly criticizing American policy as "[overblowing]this whole terrorism thing". About the only thing he stands firmly on is his trivializing of the War on Terror.
Kerry (like the Greeks) does not take the threat seriously.

The Israeli's take their national security very seriously. Unlike the Germans and French, they have no intention of rolling over and waving the white flag to a bunch of fanatical ragheads.

I hope you'll pardon our preoccupation with the election that determines the future of our nation. I mean, we don't mean to be selfish Americans - it just happenes, and all we can really do is beg your forgiveness.

Perhaps FR topics need to pass a "Global Test"?

Excuse me sir, but I never mentioned Bush, Kerry, or the election. But I know someone who's monopolized the thread with those subjects.....

What is interesting to me is that some of the countries on that list are doing something about terrorism, there are two countries (FRANCE AND GERMANY) who are trying to run interference for the terrorists.

Hello(hyphen)o yerself feller.

This thread and the posters post you responded to did not mention anything about the election.

You will see lots of critizm of the Republicans here from the President on down.

Ya gotta pay attention though.

Oh and yea, it affects the Germans and the French, and why not throw in the Russians too?

They were all against overthrowing Saddam because they didn't mind a Terrorist Dictator killing and raping and maiming (along with his sons) innocent people just for their perverse pleasure so they could make money from the Oil Smuggling and selling MUNITIONS TO KILL OUR SOLDIERS to Saddam.

So who would you like to support, the USA or Kerry's Foreign Leader Supporters?

(yea I mentioned the election, did you know it is taking place in Viet Nam?)

After reading some of the responses I have to say it was a good post. Many are hyper focused on the up coming election but you are right the rest of the world and events are not necessarily focused on our election.

It is a good post and is one of those "I seem to remember" type posts for possible later reference.

I've criticized Bush. But I'm totally supporting him and Cheney.

Any faults they might have are minor skin blemishes compared to the major defects of their opponents. If Kerry gets in, our entire foreign policy will collapse, the economy will suffer from his punative tax scheme, and the war on terror will be left up to obtaining the consent of the Euroweenies.

Once Bush is re-elected, we must start a political drive to get Tancredo more publicity and force Bush to revise his open border with Mexico policy. As for the latter serious problem, don't look to the Dems to solve that one either. They LIKE illegal invaders.
