I am writing the Presidential Debate Commission. Does cheating mean nothing to them? What are they, the UN of Presidential Debates?
Go down to your local FOX affiliate & ask them to give you a look at the network feed.
Sure.
Thank you very much for your work on this. I disagree with some posters who think it is not important or will backfire. The 'Rats are used to getting away with cheating; if caught, they merely lie with impunity, and attack the credibility of the person pointing out the truth! It is time that some of it starts sticking to them.
Not to criticize, just as a point of clarification (for those who will be making calls and writing letters and should not have their credibility reduced by terminology): the big piece of furniture behind which the speaker or lecturer stands is a lectern, not a podium. I.E. Kerry took something out of his pocket and placed it on the lectern. The podium is the raised platform that speakers stand on, with their feet, hence the "pod-".
The mask has been removed from the MSM...
...and it ain't pretty.
B...but it doesn't matter if Kerry lies, cheats, steals, or puts American lives at risk now or by his past actions. The only thing that matters is that Kerry wins. This is it, bottom line, take it to the bank. The idiot MSM brigade is shouting this from the rooftops. Bush is to be smeared any way, any how, anytime. Kerry gets a first class pass for everything, and that's the way it is. Period. The front page on every news magazine, liberal newspaper all the same. Kerry debate bounce! Gleeful expression.
Well, Cheney will eat Edwards' lunch tomorrow, and the MSM will act as if A: That never happened. B: It doesn't matter. And C: Cheney cheated, lied, and was mean or looked mean. Big bounce for Edwards/Kerry since Cheney/Bush aren't allowed to appear mean, mention France in denigrating tones, say anything of substance, or call Edwards/Kerry on their lies.
What we can do to counteract this nonsense is to say to everyone...Did you listen to what Kerry/Edwards said? What they plan to do if elected? Invariably, the answer is Uh, no. Then we bring up tax hikes, big ones, lots of them. Tax breaks gonzo. Tax rebates fini. Mandatory military service with help to pay college costs. This is the old bait and switch tactic. The money won't be there to pay for college costs. We'll be busy paying for meals on wheels for Sudan, Haiti, the rest of Africa, and any other nation or group of people with minority status. And of course, Hill's plan for educating the entire world and universal health plan...socialized medicine, etc.. People with children are worried that Kerry isn't going to protect this country. Well, we have to ask the UN and France if it's okay.
5. Rules Applicable to All Debates
(d) Notwithstanding subparagraph 5(c), the candidates may take notes during the debate on the size, color, and type of paper each prefers and using the type of pen or pencil that each prefers. Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper, pens, and pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff of the Commission will place such paper, pens, and pencils on the podium, table, or other structure to be used by the candidate in that debate.
Rules is rules and breaking them is cheating.
I have a two hour DVD recorded from my C-Band Satellite receiver, which is a (first generation) signal from the same transponder that Fox affiliates, Cable, DTV, and Dish Network get their feeds. It's still only SD 480i, but it is not compressed. I can Priority mail it to you if you like... PM me if you want a copy..

If this is true then I'm amazed at Fox's complicity in covering for Kerry in this scandal. I've viewed that video clip dozens of times and the object was rectangular, and Kerry spent an inordinate amount of time handling and arranging the thing on the lecturn. There is no way in he!! that thing was a pen.
In any case, Kerry wasn't supposed to bring even a pen to the debate. The host was to provide any and all pens, pencils and paper. If he will flaunt the debate rules even to that extent then he can't be trusted with greater issues.
There is only a minority of conservatives on FOX anymore.
I also agree with you! I taped the debate and was watching the Fox News coverage of the debate. I watched the beginning again, and it is clear that Kerry removed a piece of paper and unfolded it as he placed it on the podium. I also believe that President Bush saw Kerry do it!
I have emailed everyone I watch on Fox News, and voiced my concern with them "letting this go" as "just a black pen" when it was white paper...NOT a black pen!
Even to admit Kerry pulled something out of his coat pocket to place on the podium is an admission he broke the rules of the debate!
Does anyone have access to a clean standard NTSC tape of the debate or are we all looking at a compressed Real Audio piece of junk?
By any chance did one of the networks broadcast in High Definition? If so the resolution would be much better and you might be able to blow it up and actually see what is going on.
Just my $.02.
I would call FOX rather than e-mailing them and offer to purchase all available video evidence of the debate. Ask their price and come back. I'm sure we can get the money together.
I saw the digital still that seemed to clearly show a squared off object in Kerry's hand. I wondered if there were any door or window at that location which might have let in light; but that didn't seem likely they would allow a door or window light to be showing at that point in the debates. - I tried to look objectively, but it sure did look a lot like either a notecard or a pack of notecards, or some such thing. - In addition, did Kerry put anything back in his pocket after, or during the debates; or if he left something on the podium, there would have had to have been a confederate to pick it up after the debate. - -
On the channel I watched, it seemed to me that the stage lighting over Bush was a yellowish tinged one, while the one over Kerry was a full spectrum light. Did anyone else notice this? It would be so easy for a Bush hater in the setup crew to do little things that added up to make Kerry look better. (A yellow light would make a person's coloring look jaundiced or washed out. I kept thinking Bush looked remarkably well, for there to be a yellowish light over him. Maybe I'm just being paranoid or imagining things.)
UPDATE: LGF has posted another video that shows even more clearly that the object in question is DEFINITELY not a pen. I can only assume that those who are proclaiming it to be a pen are either ignorant of the fact that they're discussing two separate and distinct moments in time, or they don't care, or a combination of the two.
I continue to try to obtain a high-end copy of the footage. As clear as the issue is in the limited-resolution videos posted on LGF, it will be IRREVOCABLY clear if I can get high-end footage to work with. Once I get the footage, I'm planning to also put together a multi-camera synced shot that demonstrates clearly that the OBJECT 1 (pen) and OBJECT 2 (paper/index cards/device) sequences are two entirely different moments.
