Unreal
This could really explain GWB's "annoyed beyond belief" look during the debate.
Kerry didn't do a gentleman's handshake. It's an old & childish tactic to squeeze your opponents hand too hard & long.
Yep, he did flip something over. It was white and looked like spiral notecards. Of course, the Dems will say it was a hanky.
Drudge also said that there are lots of phony and doctored pictures popping up out there, too, now. Don't fall for liberal scams to make us look bad!
Has anyone looked carefully at video from the end of the debate? If he put something on the podium, he would have to take it with him at the end if he wants to avoid getting caught.
Maybe we can get a better glimpse of him picking something up at the end.
Thoughts anyone?
Section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns states:
"No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.... Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium..."
Thanks for the info.
Even if he was taking out Kleenex/tissues, he would still be BREAKING THE RULES. He could have/should have given the Kleenex/tissues to the Commission befirehand to put on the podium.
The lgf post is a MUST-SEE. It looks like NOTES to me.
I DL'ed the file and put it on continuous replay and it's definitely no a pen. Not a hanky either. Looks like he unfolds something
It's a cashier check made out to Lehrer for throwing softballs.
Note the reflectivity of the object just before he put it down. Lite color (whiteish) around the outside and then dark in the center. From that camera angle dark would be a simple reflection from the audience. And glass would do that.
Hard to say what it is but a PDA is NOT a farfetched possibility. Actually, somewhat of a probability.
Very good observation. It could be nothing more than that.
It doesn't matter what it was- he had agreed to not bring anything. This means he both failed to live up to his end of an agreement, and he cheated. A liar and a cheater.
Even more valuable than the questions would be a list of Moore-onics he could spew as he did. Bush did great to bring up the statements he'd made at the times he did them. Kerry had every F911 conspiracy theory line down pat it seemed and, now we know, it's because he brought the list of them right with him.
"Hard to say what it is but a PDA is NOT a farfetched possibility. Actually, somewhat of a probability."
Well, whatever it was he didn't use it THAT much. From what I remember it was Bush who kept looking down at his 'notes' and Kerry who was talking to the camera. Kerry was also taking notes a lot when Bush was talking.
Even so, whatever it turns out to be is a clear violation. I picture a great Bush Ad starting with a kid caught cheating in an exam and then slow mo of Kerry pulling 'whatever it is' out and then the caption ends saying, "Can we trust him to be a moral leader for our nation? Character matters."
lol maybe the swift vets could even get in on this.
I said the same thing in post 57. :)
