Lemme get this staight. Spend multi thousands to bring cats and dogs to Houston for adoption, (prolly, ultimate euthanasia) while Hatians, Dominicans, and other human beings are wading around in shi* and dead bodies?

You can't make this up!I think it's wonderful that there are so many good causes people can sink their hearts into. I find that people who rescue critters as a calling never regret it. But if you don't find this cause worthy of your money, perhaps you'd like to donate instead to one of the Haiti hurricane relief funds. No one is stopping you.

No. Many ASPCAs have no doggies and kitties to adopt. So overseas animals are brought in for adoption. The local SPCA needs to have animals to beg for money and stay in business.

Well, when a cargo plane flies from Houston to the Cayman Islands full of relief supplies, it can fly back to Houston empty or it can fly back to Houston with cats and dogs.
Wherever the cockpit goes, the fuselage has to follow.
