XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN OCT 03, 2004 14:05:38 ET XXXXX
DEBATE MYSTERY: DID KERRY HAVE CHEAT SHEET?
Section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns states:
"No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.... Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium..."
So what did Dem presidential contender John Kerry take out of his jacket as he approached the stage [with his back to the auditorium's audience]?
What did Kerry place on the podium?
Video replays of the Kerry maneuver played all weekend long on the internet.
[A tight zoom of the Boston.Com feed shows Kerry pulling a mysterious "card" from his jacket. 14 seconds into video, after commerical]
A top Kerry campaign source explained to the DRUDGE REPORT late Sunday how Bush supporters were once again trying to distract.
"Kerry did not cheat," said the Kerry insider. "This is more lies from Republicans, who are hoping for a quick change of subject away from the president's performance, and the new polls."
Developing...
John Kerry's response: "It was a picture of my fellow Vietnam soldiers who were killed during that awful war in which I served so bravely. I carry it around with me to remind myself of my heroism, my patriotism, and my selflessness. Many more Americans will die like these men if we continue on with Bush's collosal misjudgements in Iraq. We need to pass the global test. Once again, I served in Vietnam."
Who says?
Did you mean to reply to someone else?
I just looked at it. It couldn't be a pen because he had to use both hands to unfold something. When you take a pen out of your pocket you usually don't need to use both hands only if it has a cap to take off.
No pens or pencils were allowed unles placed there by the event commission.
Agree with you here. But even with that, it did not take info cards for GW to have the common-sense to bring up Kerry's 20 year awful senate record on National Security.
Wrong on the Gulf War, Wrong on the cold war, wrong on cutting funds to the CIA, etc, etc.
Yet GW never brought up any of these points. And if he needs info cards for this....then we are believing the Dem's that he really is dumb.
Which he is not!! - It was just a bad, bad performance.
And I never heard Kerry say anything all that smart to begin with!! - He simply didn't have to defend his voting record and that is why he won!
He's a troll. He's been defending Kerry and the latest Newsweak poll and trying to discredit anyone who shows how the Newsweak poll was sauced.
If Kerry is willing to cheat in a formal debate, he is not worthy of being president of a glee club, much less president of the United States.<--- Remember...The difference between a conservative and a liberal is...A conservitive bases his politics on his morals...A liberal bases his morals on his politics...To them, the ends ALWAYS justifies the means....thats where the disconect comes when dealing with one in real life...They just dont get it!!!!
"Doesn't look like papers to me."
Well, then that would rule out spitballs.
His Bush zapper?
I watched later in the debate as I remember he looked like he was reading as oppsed to writing notes. In fact, you see him sorting out about 6-9 notes. So now we need someone with time to go through the whole debate and count how many notes he could have written by the time he sorts about 6 of them. Also when he arrives as the podium you can see he shuffles them into the bottom of the stack. I know this trick--I've used it before in Junior High School when I cheated!
I saw that too.
I agree the question should be asked. I too doubt if there can be definitive proof.
It wouldn't surprise me if he was given questions beforehand, given that the MSM wants him elected at all costs. It would surprise me if he would be that dumb to bring the questions to the podium, but you never know.
No it doesn't. It points out what a lying, cheating piece of shite Kerry is.
Thank you for helping them to see the light (paper) I was getting beaten upp here>...lol
Is it possible that President Bush saw what JFKerry did?
