Geez, People! Don't waste your time nit-picking about this non-issue. We have MORE important matters to focus our energies on like exposing the lies that were CLEARLY on display. Don't get us all painted with the tinfoil hat paint brush that the Dims would love to portray as the desperate flailings of a desperate group. Don't fall for the trap! I am pissed that Drudge would resort to such small time conspiracy baiting than something substantial like the new Kerry ads that call Bush a lier even though he explicitly said during the debate he would not do so!!

I am disgusted by anyone who treats this as a "non-issue". Sure, Kerry's lied over and over about all sorts of stuff, but we've never had any sort of video evidence like this before. This is HUGE. This could sink his campaign. We must keep propounding this issue until the truth, or at least a reasonable explanation, comes out. And a half-assed accusation from a lib on Kerry's campaign that doesn't even address the issue at hand is not an explanation.

It's Sunday. Drudge needs something outrageous to pimp his show, and Free Republic gave it to him.
Drudge will use ANYTHING to prime his audience for his radio gig.

maybe it is 'nit picking' .. but so, ok, if its chapstick or whatever, why didnt the DNC say so right away instead of trying to say that its the Republicans trying to shift the win of the debate....I dont care WHAT it is, they call President Bush a liar, a this a that...he should have done better in the debates, yep....but no matter who won, Kerry, IF HE DID, should not have broken ANY rules, no matter which ones and get away with it...do you for a second think if it was President Bush, it wouldnt have been front page news on the NYT the next day?
Im glad Drudge took it on, no matter the outcome....I want to know what he took out now more than ever..... I WANT THESE LYING, DISGUSTING LIBERALS TO KNOW WE ARE WATCHING and THEY BETTER BELIEVE "THAT"

I agree. I looked at the video. Looks like a watch to me. The Drudge fuss will backfire on him. Makes the pajama people look like poor sports. Although I enjoy being the poor sport as much as the next guy, there's better things to throw a tantrum about. I'm going to save my tantrums for something better.

There are two, entirely different reasons why this is important. In the larger scheme of things this is minor, except for the point made by other Freepers that if he would cheat in a mere debate, would he cheat at President of the United States.
The other point is a correlary, but quite important. Once again, FR and the blogosphere have caught a real event that happened right in front of the MSM. They missed it. We found it and stuck it in their nose. Probably, this second reason is more important than the first.
