LOS ANGELES, September 27, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Democratic Presidential candidate, John Kerry, granted an exclusive interview to the national homosexual activist magazine, The Advocate, on September 16.
In the preamble, Advocate writer Chris Bull describes Kerry as "an ardent gay rights supporter." "One of the original cosponsors of legislation banning discrimination based on sexual orientation," he continues, "Kerry has achieved a nearly unblemished voting record on the issue. In 1996 he was the only senator up for re-election to vote against the antigay Defense of Marriage Act. Three years earlier he went before the Senate Armed Services Committee to testify in favor of revoking the ban on gays and lesbians in the military."
"I was the only elected senator up for reelection to oppose the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996," Kerry boasted in the interview. "It was a tough position to take, but I took it because I thought [the bill] was outright gay bashing. My support for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act and civil unions has been complete."
Kerry outlined his support for hate-crimes legislation, similar to Canada's Bill C-250: "I think we can pass" hate crimes legislation, he said.
When asked if he thought the Senate could muster the votes to block an amendment to the constitution to ban homosexual marriage, Kerry said, "I will oppose any constitutional amendment."
"I approve of gay adoption. I approve of gay parenting," he said.
The Democrat presidential candidate described Supreme Court Justice Scalia's dissent in the Lawrence v. Texas case that legalized sodomy for the state as an "extreme, homophobic, mean-spirited dissent."
Kerry criticized President Bush's abstinence message for preventing HIV/AIDS: "The president's HIV/AIDS policy is a cave-in to the right wing. It defies common sense and reason. It's a completely craven posture about how the world works and how life works."

Anybody that exposes themselves to HIV/AIDS or any other STD in this day and age has absolutely no one to blame but themselves. I mean who other than a mentally retarded person would have a legitimate excuse? anyone trying to blame the government, a president, school system etc. etc.. deserves only contempt. they are grinding a political Axe. IMHO.
I don't know what Kerry thinks this will gain him. Right now he needs to be trying to gain undecideds, not suck up (he he) to the liberal mainstream.
Exactly! I want to see quotes from this interview splashed across full page ads, TV, and radio.
Regular folks need to hear Kerry's own words.
Homosexual Agenda Ping -- Kerry Outs Himself as an "Ardent Gay Rights Supporter!
Not that it's a suprise, but his blatant sycophancy (is there such a word?) to homosexuals is quite nauseating. I hope it gets the wide publicity it deserves, so as many Americans as possible can be similarly nauseated.
Let me and Scripter know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.
And yet, no excommunication.
But no interview for O'Reilly... As I see it, it doesn't make sense for Kerry to grant this interview - he has more to lose than gain here. But then nothing much surprises me about how Kerry runs his campaign...
Kerry is just plain wrong.
Kerry is WRONG for Lutherans and Orthodox Christians, too >>
Yes I know, but you guys need to make a website.
