BUSH
After straining relations with major European allies and the United Nations over war in Iraq, Bush has shifted his foreign policy focus to the spread of democracy by pushing a Greater Middle East Initiative that would aim to resolve the regions political, economic and social problems through democratic reform. The president, criticized for the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, is also pursuing a policy that seeks to unravel the black market in nuclear components and block programs in North Korea and Iran, countries he has labeled an axis of evil along with prewar Iraq.
KERRY
While insisting he would never cede U.S. security to any other nation and would use force when required, Kerry envisions a new era of alliances to replace what he sees as the White Houses go-it-alone approach to foreign policy. He has pledged to restore diplomacy as a tool of U.S. foreign policy, treat the United Nations as a full partner and pursue collective security arrangements. His inner circle of foreign policy advisers features prominent Democratic veterans, including some figures from the Clinton days.

There is nothing fair and balanced about Chris Matthews. He is out for Bush!!!!
It is obvious that both perspectives on each candidate position was written by a Democrat. I'll give them credit for holding back on the Bush-hating rhetoric. But a balanced guide????? Give me a break.
On one side: Terry McAuliffe, Susan Estrich, and James Carville. On the other side: Jim Jeffords and Colin Powell. And representing a neutral position, that elder statesman, Jimmy Carter.
the only program I watch on MSNBC is Scarborough Country.
Aren't most men?
It'd be great to have their moral support, but that's about all they could give...under the best of circumstances.
Kerry keeps talking about the allies as if they would actually be in a position to offer substantial help.
This seems pretty obvious to me...but I've yet to hear it articulated from any place.
"Support of our allies" is a chimera.
MSNBC believes 'Scarborough Country' "balances" the other 23 hours of airing DNC 527-type programing.
sounds like PMSNBC is writing skerry's campaign liter.
BUSH
After straining relations with major European allies and the United Nations over war in Iraq (France and Germany spin, ignores England and Spain), Bush has shifted his foreign policy focus to the spread of democracy (shifted?? that is what the war of Iraq was about) by pushing a Greater Middle East Initiative that would aim to resolve the regions political, economic and social problems through democratic reform. The president, criticized for the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq (more negative spin that says nothing about his policy), is also pursuing a policy that seeks to unravel the black market in nuclear components and block programs in North Korea and Iran, countries he has labeled an axis of evil along with prewar Iraq. (This discussion on foreign policy does not even mention the War on Terrorism.)
KERRY
While insisting he would never cede U.S. security (if you must ask you are ceding) to any other nation and would use force when required, Kerry envisions a new era of alliances to replace what he sees as the White Houses go-it-alone approach (30 + countries?) to foreign policy. He has pledged to restore diplomacy as a tool of U.S. foreign policy, treat the United Nations as a full partner (cedes power like he says he would never do) and pursue collective security arrangements. His inner circle of foreign policy advisers features prominent Democratic veterans, including some figures from the Clinton days. (as opposed to Republican veterns who actually have had success)
Giving MSNBC a hit on their website is against my religion
What is MSNBC?
The only program worth watching on that network is Scarborough, at least he is keeping Dastardly Dan's Dirty Deeds alive.
What is MSNBC?
