Teresa Heinz-Kerry stumps for husband; poll shows Kerry losing ground (Colorado)
KOAA-TV ^ | September 24, 2004 | KOAA-TV News First Survey/USA

Colorado continues to attract attention in the Bush-Kerry election battle. Friday Teresa Heinz-Kerry, Senator John Kerry's wife, was in Pueblo for what was billed as a town meeting.

Her points centered on health care costs, which she says are out of control. She says her husband would fight to reign them in, if elected.

She also said her husband would bring European countries on board to help in Iraq. "Our allies to be with us all the way to share the costs, the burdens, dollars, the burdens, lives, so the United States does not have to shoulder it all alone." said Heinz-Kerry to a mostly friendly crowd at the Colorado State Fairgrounds.

One man asked about what he sees as Kerry's changing positions on support for the war in Iraq. He was shouted down by the crowd and left after shouting "four more years."

An exclusive News First SurveyUSA poll shows Kerry losing ground in Colorado in the last few weeks. The poll shows President Bush leading Kerry 52 to 44 percent. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percent. The survey was done by phone this week in the entire state of Colorado and included 626 likely voters.

Five weeks ago the same poll showed the two were tied at 47 percent each.

What European countries is she talking about? We already have a signifigant number of European countries helping. The only two countries she cares about are France and Germany and they aren't going to send in troops no matter who gets elected because they're idiots.

A definite THANK YOU will have to go to the Pubbie 'MOLE' that obviously penetrated the Kerry Kamp and is calling the shots for them.
I can't believe a 'serious' group would keep making the same mistake over and over...MAYBE the Klintoons are behind this idiotic, superficial bunch...
I just hope "WE" don't get overconfident and stay away from the voting booths in NOV.....We need to have a blowout big enough so all the 'dirty tricks' have to get shelved.

My 9 year old always refers to her as "that woman that can't speak English is on TV".

Psst! Hey Kerry camp... maybe the reason your man is losing ground is BECAUSE his wife is stumping for him.

Kerry will fix the cost of health care? Oh, sure.

Edwards the Ambulance Chaser single-handedly raised the cost of health care in his native state by suing hospitals.

If kerry is elected, his biggest donors (after Soros) will laugh all the way to the bank. I refer to the tort lawyers who have raised the cost of liability insurance for physicians right through the roof and driven many medical people out of business entirely.

Sure, he'll lower health costs. When pigs fly.

Let's not forget that Soros funded the forces for McCain/Feingold.

We need to end this scum's influence in our political discourse.

"Now we just have to get working on Thune. Latest poll shows Daschle ahead by five points. Can we change that?"
First, I believe polls are designed to influence the voting.
Second, Thune is having trouble because he supports a more national agenda and Daschle wants to break the bank for South Dakota. Voters aren't always far-sighted about these things, and Thune want's to go with something that the president can sign, rather than something that looks better to voters, but can never pass.
Third, the voters are learning not to believe the MSM or polls. If you are serious about this, it means searching for as many political blogs as possible, registering, and then posting on all of them. You should probably research a topic, save your thoughts to MS Word and then copy and paste postings to all of the blogs. It will be time-consuming, to say the least.

She says her husband would fight to reign them in, if elected.

I see someone at the station chose the WRONG word. I think they meant to say "rein" them in, as in, reining a horse.

Speaking of horses, I'd love to see a picture of Kerry riding his polo pony. I can't find any yet.

The imperious and French-looking Heinz-Kerrýs will fight to reign, indeed.

Pueblo is not exactly a hotbed of liberal ideas but she probably pulled in every Democrat in a four county area. Beyond that, Pueblo being a smaller city and closely tied to agricultural and tourist interests is probably a much more polite venue than anything in the Denver Metro area.

On a related note - a god awful racket got going in my neighborhood Saturday afternoon. It turned out to be a Salazar fund raiser two houses away. They had professional audio equipment and you could hear the noise for about 10 blocks.

Needless to say, a Sunday morning confab of the neighbors brought out a lot of Coors supporters. We thought Coors would have wanted a quieter party and he would have supplied the beer!

The more this POS trainwreck of a human being speaks, the better our chances of a landslide in November.

Consequently, the better America's chances of a solid future.
