Actually he's a she! A homeschooler, who was the first woman cadet-chief engineer at her college, in its history. A double magna cum laude graduate, and winner of Presidental Leadership Award. God-fearin', straight-shootin', upright, and a conservative Republican. She'll be a great Freeper...someday when she has a bit more time.
Lynn Cheney's essays were a significant part of the program that got her to where she is.
When we found out that Dick, when announced as VP RM, was her husband, we were JAZZED!

Mrs. Cheney, your leadership by example has been such an inspiration, and not just political issues for me. My husband, just a few years younger than VP Cheney, has had several heart attacks and by-pass surgery, he also has a cardio-implant. He loves his profession which has stress and works 50 to 60 hours a week. I am sure we share a kinmanship in that, as wives, we worry. I think of the VP often and my husband and I frequently comment on what a tremedous inspiration both of you are to us personally.

Do you think she would say? Sure. She knows we're all friends. Dubya hangs out at the Foxhole and the Hobbit Hole.

I think some one should explain to John Kerry what "deferred compensation" is.
We learned, when my husband decided to "defer" his bonuses until he retired, just how it worked. He deferred his last five years of bonuses [earned income].and at that time he had to take it out in five years in equal amounts. This may be changed now.
It just might be since Kerry never worked for a private firm and probably knows very little about our complicated income tax laws, he most likely needs a tutor to teach him.
It is income one decides not to take at the time it is earned. It gives one some assurance of keeping their standard of living at least for the first years of retirement.
Please someone explain to Kerry, it's not the company's money. It's money that belongs to the worker, just being held by the company [without interest].
Enough said !!!!!!----Franie

My work is done: it is the seventh day, and I rest; but I see what we have 'created', and remark, "It is good."
Blessings back at you, friend.

I too would return to the Army if I were needed...and I too am old.
It wasn't until I became a grandma that I better understood our Founding Fathers. There's something in age which makes you truly open for the sacrifices they made. When my kids were small, much of my thinking was about day-to-day care of their needs. Now, I feel free enough to take the front line with greater abandon.
Now the body's old. If, God forbid, the battle came to the home front, I would stand sturdily.

Do not be concerned - the situation is being dealt with. Old Media is dead. It will be cut off totally when We stop watching and listening to them. Right now (to me) Kerry and CBS is a sideshow of what Godless, egotistical, power lusting behavior playing on peoples emotions will lead to. It is all shifting.
If you are thirsty, do you drink from a well that's next to a cesspool? I'm sorry for the blunt description but that is what Old Media has become. It's day is done and so is libralism. It was created when technology was limited.
Now we are all connected. Our public servants now listen and converse with us. We may not have direct conversations but trust me. if you have something to say and the Prtesident needs to hear it, say it here. He'll get the message
In God We Trust.

Mrs. Cheney . . Thank you for lending us your husband at this crucial time in history. I guess the poor guy thinks we are too demanding on him. Sorry. I guess we are, but we know that IF DICK CHENEY TELLS US SOMETHING, WE CAN TAKE IT TO THE BANK!! I just love watching him spit nails at the liberal wonks and making them like it! Your husband is an extremely handsome man in addition. Take care of yourselves!

You're right. I'm just reliving the election of 1992 in the back of my mind. The hits just kept coming & there was insufficient response to it.

Most people do understand the term, but in Kerry's case I think is WILLFUL IGNORANCE. He has such arrogance that he condescendingly tells "the little people" LIES and expects them to believe HIM.

Plus also the deferred money is also guaranteed by insurance so if anything happens to the Company Cheney still gets his money. So he has no financial interest in Halliburton.
