I think it would be a nice gesture to send little Sophie and her family a nice card or something.....See post 66 in this thread.

I think President Bush would be just the kind of cool and decent man to see this photo, be moved to compassion, and have a new Bush-Cheney sign for her, autographed, and delivered by a local campaign official to her through Dad.
She might not understand it right away, but she'll grow up treasuring it, and understanding later.

To be perfectly honest, I have not toured the city or harbour - and that day was NOT the day to do it.
I do want to go back and thoroughly check it out (we're only 2 hours away)

That union jerkoff reminds me of the guy who stole the little boy's baseball at that game...probably the same guy.

I think President Bush would be just the kind of cool... That's true, but the real test is whether John Kerry will send her an apology. Now that would be a class act, which is why I don't expect it to happen.

I posted this on the football board I usualy write and got this as an answer from a RAT:
"While charges are brought against the people protesting bush at this very moment, and people have been arrested for having "fu** bush" signs.
Hey pot, lets not call the kettle black...k?
Me and my friends this weekend are planning on paintballing the hell out of all the bush/cheney signs in town. You should have to have an IQ over 30 to have an opinion on politics and obviously these folks do not."
...and now I'm pisssssssseeeeedddddddd....

I'm perhaps more of a realist than you - I feel responsible for the welfare of my family members, and I don't take them where I can't guarantee it. It's a guy thing, Lisa. Nah, I'd put my maternal instincts against your "guy thing" anytime.....)
My kids are grown now, however, when they were young, I would NEVER put them in any type of situation where they would be in danger.
I don't think the dad in the picture intended to either. It's my feeling that he thought he could take his kids to a hometown rally, voice a different viewpoint, and they would all be safe. Maybe he isn't as informed as we are. We know the drill of some of the Kerry thugs.
I don't fault this man at all. However, he has lived, and learned.
And his children have as well, and I guarantee you..it's an experience they will never forget.

"And in the second photo, he has a crying pout on his mug, a half smile on his face looking at her as she is bawling away. I wasn't there but I half guess he was mimicking her, simulating crying back at her. That's what it looks like Mr. Baseball Cap Asshole is doing."It sure does look that way. How dispicable!!!!

That's how small men like that get their jollies -- picking on three year-old girls.
Democrat 'men'.
To: RonDog
Hey, I just hope this man has the chance to tell his story, and something nice happens for his little girl and son.
