Check out the photo from yahoo. Only Kerry Supporters would do something so low.

I know what I would have done in retalation, starting with the droog on the left. There is no way anyone there would not be able to stop me in time.

He probably expected civil discourse. Maybe honest disagreement.
It's real easy to armchair QB(particulary after seeing the threads on FR about the goons), but I doubt he knew what the union goons were really like. I don't think even most activists I know have seen what they are like.
I'd give the dad the benefit of the doubt. He should expect the goons to leave his kids alone.

I was hoping this would get straightened out.
I've been following this thread from the beginning and knew what Fester was saying.
And Fester have another beer from another "Michigander".

I salute his courage, but question his judgement.Leave it to an engineer to clarify things! Absolutely he has every right to bring his daughter to the event. I just don't trust union thugs - even in church and certainly not at a political rally!

This is a PUBLIC airport. It used to be safe to go to places like these.Yes it's a public airport. No one is saying that this guy went parading down the aisle of Kerry headquarters. Now, let's examine the central questions here:
- Why was he at the public airport? Because Edwards was landing there and he was there to protest Edwards.
- Does he have a right to do that? Yes.
- Does he know that by going there he's doing a provacative act that could make people angry? Yes.
- Should he realize that there is a good chance that he'll meet with an angry and defiant Kerry/Edwards supporter? Yes
- Does he understand that such a confrontation will be frightening to his little girl? He should.
- Knowing that, should he leave his 3-year old at home and go protest without her? YES!!!
I'm all for civics lessons, but c'mon, isn't 3-years a little young for the civics lesson that there are jerks in the world who will scare you and tear up the pretty sign you're holding?

People can become cause celebres in the wink of an eye. I agree with you. This man may have no desire to be in the spotlight.

Okay, fine, I stand corrected (I've just had the chance to sort through this on the entire thread). This thread was a ping-pong board at the time, and I guess I missed the "clarification" when it was posted. And the ongoing name-calling of those who called you on it didn't help, either, Fester.
That said, I apologize for the "troll" remark and desire peace between all FReepers. Or at least between us. Thanks.

Agree,
Shame that Mr. P's 2 NG kids couldn't have been on patrol "locked & loaded" at the airport today. Bet the brave dude on the left with the 2" inch penis whould have joined in on the chant for four more years!

Thank you - even though I'm a Left Coast Freeper and it's still fairly early in the evening here, have to get up at 0-dark-30 for work, so have to sign off and get into my pajamas ;-)
Hope I see the pic plastered all over Drudge et al tomorrow.

There is no reason that a union thug should be allowed to do this. If you tried to do this to the union they would cry and beat you with a baseball bat. I have lost all respect for any union if they do not fire the goon and say this is bad.

That picture in itself would be a good poster for a counter-protest.If they's gonna give ya ammo...use it!

Especially when I'm sure Dad is feeling profoundly lousy right now that his children were in harm's way.
