If I'm not mistaken Begala is also from Texas. I'll look to see what part.

Not CBS directly but one of the quotes with Strong says he noticed a Kinkos marking on the top of the documents.
I think this started with Wash Post interviewing Strong.
Wash Post is playing it as though they are much more concerned now about A) the person who faxed them leading to the person who forged them.
That's the direction they are headed now and are thumbing their nose at CBS's "Content even if forged is more important".
Wash Post wants the forger for their story, SO FAR.

FYI

The local Abilene paper in a recent article describe Barnes as a "former Brownwood resident".

Where he lives now wasn't mentioned.

I think they're setting Burkett up as the scapegoat.

Why do you think that?

You got to love the irony here. The damn story of where the memos came from and the forgeries themselves have a zillion more legs than what CBS was implying about the Guard Duty in the first place!

The allegations became the subject of an 1,800-word article by Burkett in March 2003, published by Veterans for Peace. It accused Bush of sending Burkett on a military assignment to Panama in retaliation for Burkett's refusal to alter Bush's official military personnel records. Burkett, who became ill after the trip, later said he had "overstated" his accusation.

...CONSPIRACY could encompass everyone who had something to do with the Transmission and presenting of the FRAUDULENT DOCS on the 60 Minutes Program...

Much better. It's not 'would have to...'

A conspiracy needs only two.

I could recommend a MONSTER of a LAWYER to them, in fact maybe I ought to have him call Gary Killian.

They should not guess about their legal rights in the matter.

Could be a MULTI MILLION DOLLAR recovery, PLAINTIFFS CBS, DAN RATHER, YADA YADA, ET AL

Any TEXAS FREEPER LAWYERS interested, this could mean FACE time on HANNITY.

That is why they only used 4 of the documents.

The Fax number would be on the first and last page.

Here it is on Paul Begala.

A native of Texas, Begala earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Texas, where he taught before his work at the White House. After leaving the Clinton administration, Begala joined Georgetown University's staff as a research professor of government and public policy.

He's from Houston. Burkett, and maybe Barnes, are our people. Burkett is also in close with David Van Os - his attorney and spokesman. Van Os is well connected in the upper tiers of the Democratic Party of Texas. He's also their nominee for Texas Supreme Court this year and has been several times in the past too.

Probably off topic, but: when they make the movie, who plays Rather? My first thought is James Brolin, but then Babs would dump him.
