34567 is the PO BOX number. Stupid!!
The Executive was well capable of this. Remember, it was only delivered with one font. There were multiple-width space and backspace keys, and you could accurately move the carriage to do type-setter-like work. This was a professional machine, designed to be used by highly skilled typists.
Somebody's going to reproduce this thing on an old typewriter, and then we will wish we concentrated on the obviously forged signature, fake P.O. box, and suspicious content of these docs.

The sequential numbers certainly look hokey. I can't speak for the Army or ARNG, but the Navy and Marine Corps went to PO Boxes for addresses in the mid 80s in compliance with a Department of Defense directive on postal addressing standards and are still using them today. One thing I learned in 23 years as a Marine is that you can rely upon the Pentagon to be factually incorrect at least 50% of the time. You can go to www.usmc.mil and search under directives for mailing addresses and it will give you the order (MCO5110.5D)from 1999 and the references in adobe.
I'm 54 years old and the abbreviation for Texas has been Tx for as long as I can remember.

The forgerer must not have realized that back in that time period there were no street addresses used either and definitely not a post office box. It was only the name of the organization and Air Force Base, State, Zip Code. I found an official document thanks to a Freeper link to Pres Bush's documents from his jacket and then compared it to the forgery below:

Every organization in the Air Force went by USAF, USAFR, or TANG in the case of Texas or OKANG in the case of Oklahoma. That meant your organization was regular Air Force, Reserve Air Force or members of the Guard.
I must admit, I looked at that document online for a long time but didnt catch the sequential PO box. To repeat what I have said on other threads: amateurs did this. Actually there are thousands of amateurs who would have done a better job. At least they would have used a realistic PO Box or even a real address at an ANG base.
It's almost as if someone was playing a joke they figured would never get past the intern at CBS, and they would all have a good laugh. It's such an amateur job.

What you say is true, BUT, since LTC Killian could not type, it is highly doubtful he produced these himself - especially on one of these advanced machines. It is also highly unlikely that a TANG unit would have had equipment suited for publishing work (what were they going to publish? [except of course these memos . . .]) As to the PO Box - it seems it is legit - just it's use on official documents is "fishy".
I'm sure they do, but incoming mail would be addressed to a PO box. I am trying to find old military documents see exactly what the address headings looked like back in the early 70s.

I posted some addresses from my own files and they are standard, just like Dubya's. Never P.O. Boxes. The format was name, office, unit, base, ZIP.
