James Rosen just reported that the Pentagon questions the use of a PO Box on a memo, and that the PO Box may never have been used by that unit saying it seems highly unlikely that they would have PO Box containing sequential numbers. Standard military practice has always been to place the actual physical address on the letter head.
"why would he even bother putting an address header on a memo to himself?"
That is a good question. I believe it would normally be entitled Memo for the Record but not necessarily on letterhead, if it were on letterhead it would be a pre-printed, not a typed, letterhead. Mrs PD

I called the Post Office that handles mail for 77034 in Houston. You can find it here:
http://mapsonus.switchboard.com/bin/maps-showpoi/usr=~4141f3e8.4b7a2.28eb.9/c=2/refsrc=USPS/poi=zusps:11163
The POBox 34567 does exists.
BUT the zip for it is 77234.
The man (who had been called quite a bit) said that it was theoretically possible for the zip to have been different back then (before his time), but, typically, zips for POBoxes stay POBox zips and zips for areas stay zips for areas.
77034 is a zip for an area.
Heard all over at the Kerry headquarters:
"I knew it! I'm surrounded by a$$holes!"
No need to "trick" MS Word into not doing the automatic superscript -- you can just turn off that option. Though I seriously doubt that the amateur who produced these would know how to do that. Tools -- AutoCorrect -- "AutoFormat as you Type" tab - uncheck "Ordinals (1st) with superscript".
Dark Helmet: Found anything yet?
Trooper: We ain't found sh&t!
This is like the greatest week ever. Freepers take over the news cycle!
The th would not have been smaller. You had to roll the paten (carriage) to superscript, but it did not make the letters smaller, just raised where you were able to slide the paten.
The line pattern could not have been replicated on Word, as it has been shown to be many times over by many different experts/bloggers, etc.
pay attention: the discussion is the use of a PO Box on LETTERHEAD. If physical address is used on letterhead, then it suggests that the person who wrote the docs looked to these very records when typing these papers up for See BS...
anyone see this?

Longtime Democratic strategist Pat Caddell said Friday that if documents aired by CBS newsman Dan Rather Wednesday night turn out to be forged, as alleged by experts, the presidential race "is over."
"It would be the end of the race," Caddell told Fox News Live. "It would be the end of the race," he repeated.

Buckman, Howlin and Co may have elected G. W. Bush.

Thus he spoke as he climbed. When they got to the top,
The freeper cleared his throat and he shouted out, YOPP!
And that Yopp
That one small, extra Yopp put it over!
Finally, at last! From that speck on that clover
Their voices were heard! They rang out clear and clean.
And the elephant smiled. Do you see what I mean?
Theyve proved they ARE persons, no matter how small.
And their whole world was saved by the smallest of All!
How true! Yes, how true, said the big kangaroo.
And, from now on, you know what Im planning to do?
From now on, Im going to vote for George Bush with you!
And the young kangaroo in her pouch said
ME, TOO!
THE ADDRESS WAS LEGIT, at least at the time, folks need to read through the thread before commenting. I think the only thing now is wonder why the 111th would use the same PO box as the 147th FIG. The address itself though is legit, and some dummy at the Pentagon is gonna feel a bit silly.
I don't think it's "The Left" that we're fighting in this election.
Hear me out.
McAuliffe, Clinton, Kerry etc. have no ideology. They have seen an opportunity to grab power by being the champions of "The Left."
If they had an opportunity to seize power by championing "The Right" they would do that.
So it's not so much that the left is incompetent, it's that the non-ideological power-seekers are incompetent.
I'm from the '60s, so I've seen these PoliSci types up close. They really aren't very bright. But they are ruthless and amoral.
Most likely a Democrat.
too young to remember old typewriters
A Democrat.
and too lazy to do their homework.
Definitely a Democrat.
Sounds like it's a Democrat to me by all stretches of the imagination.
They don't even know the correct abbreviations for military rank, which makes it more obvious that these are fakes.
One more thing, officers do not type memos. I was a clerk/typist in the USAR. I have never seen an officer type. They have a e3 or e4 do it for them.
Thats interesting. Maybe the pentagon is wrong?
I see what you, and others, are saying. I am responding the the charge that the PO box was non existant, when it clearly was.
ROFLMAO
