Joe Lockhart on CNN saying that the election is not going to be decided by a bunch of RIGHT-WING KOOKS

Here's a headline: "Kerry Press Secretary Calls 11% of US Voters 'Right-Wing Kooks.'"

Never count out a socialist candidate. Millions really want a socialist system because they mistakenly think that such will improve their own economic lot.

No no! We should agree with our liberal friends that Bush will get murdered during the debates!

It's all about expectations. Bush did OK in the Gore debates, but that was a freaking slam dunk in comparison to the expectations.

So yah, the lower the expectations, the better.

Why is Coburn catching on in OK when he is so blunt-spoken? Doesn't that turn off the liberal "soccer moms" about Tulsa and OK City?

The problem for Kerry at this point is he's really going to have to press. Nothing drives support away like that look of... "my dad's coming home in ten minutes and I have to clean up the house after that three day weekend party."

Of course you are right, but IMO it's over. Bush can look Presidential and statemenlike, while John begs. It just doesn't work on my gameboard.

Here is the question, where did the double digits come from? After the DNC convention they said there is only 6-7% undecideds. The Partisan Media said there will be at most a 2% bounce for bush because there were so few undecideds AND conventions were irrelevant.

We should still fight like it is neck and neck. (remember Dukakis' 20 point post convention bump.)

However if the media is being force to confes this lead, I think the media is covering even more.

Bush asked us for a MANDATE in 2000....if we would have only pulled it off then, but we NEED (more than ever) to do it now!

If this lead holds, and I think it will, Bush will have his mandate.

OMG!! I just saw on Special Report what Letterman did to Kerry's midnight speech.

They spliced the footage, which ended up showing Kerry at the podium, saying, "As president I will allow the islamofascists to penetrate and destablize the United States."

My quote isn't exact, but it's close.

Just checking in......how big is the bounce? Do you think it's for real?

I've seen 11 points, but that doesn't seem realistic as it was before the President's speech. I think the bounce is going to keep rising for about a week to a peak of a 10+ point spread (likely voters). That'll give the mediots a chance to gin up another "Bush's fault" crisis or for Kerry to prep a SWIFT swan dive. A truly macabre diversion would be for Bubba to go out on the operating table (yes, I'm almost that cynical). T'would make for a theatrical entree for the Hildabeast, don't you think? "Yes, I am in mourning and don't really feel like running in my hour of sorrow (sob!)... but for the good of the country I must make this personal sacrifice, ignoring my own sentiments to serve my country in its hour of desperate need for true leadership... (sniff!)"

"Real" (as in durable) is another matter :-), I still think it wisest to play Kerry like a cat with a dying mouse until it's too late for the Beast to save the day. Give it until October 15.

Wonderful news! I can go to bed and sleep beautifully on this one. The battle isn't over, but George W. Bush is back strong! This poll also found that 55% approved while just 42% disapproved of his overall job performance.

This coupled with a decent job report today for August that makes it very difficult for Kerry to spin things, is a great way to start the final lap of the campaign.

May God bless and preserve George W. Bush!!!

In order to destroy the Rat party we must not vote for the Constitution or the Losertarian parties. Then when the rats is destroyed then you can vote for the two other parties. Let's not get to overconfindent.

37% said they trust Kerry to provide leadership in difficult times.

Very, Very close to the total number of unredeemable, hardcore, Democrats.....The fight for the middle is being won by W.

Chrissy seems so depressed today. Every time he mentions Clinton's medical situation or the polls his distress is so evident.
