Question: What are the rules for switching out a candidate for the office of the United States President? As in, is it possible to switch out another candidate when it's apparent the current one is losing badly? What are the deadlines for doing something like this? Any help on this would be very much appreciated :)
New Jersey and the Torch for example?
There are no restrictions at all.
You vote to choose your state's electors. Then they are free to choose whoever they want.
Each state has their own rules.
What I mean is, what does the law matter to Dumbascraps?
The democRATS have already PROVEN there are NO RULES...
...if the candidate is a (D)
However the rules are VERY STRICT if the candidate is an (R)
It does not matter to the (D)'s if absentee ballots have
already been mailed out to our military, and overseas voters.
They don't care... Courts back them up.
what's even worse, they try to claim a vote for (D1) who is
no longer on the ballot, is actually a vote vor (D2), the
substitutee (in other words, Shrillary)
We'll know soon enough if Lautenberg suddenly shows up kissing small children and windsurfing up the Potomac.
Yes... you are correct. Names on the ballot and who the Electors select can be two different things.
Hillary ain't gonna swoop in. Fuggheddabadit.
Well shoot. The Dems should have forgone the entire campain and ran "Unnamed Democrat", who was beating Bush by a wide margin before the primaries.
Is this a US 9th Circuit Court question or US Supreme Court question?
Loosen that tin foil a bit. It's cutting off the circulation.
So, the Dems could switch out Hillary for Kerry at any time? His campaign seems to be in a avalanche-type mudslide lately. How would this affect overseas voters?
Bush is in this to win, whatever the ups and downs of the polls. Or were you referring to the 'Rat party?
Neither...it's a State question.
Of course not, but in a national election the Democrats would have to get the US Supreme Court's "okay" to break election laws. Although there is always the possibility the US Supreme Court might let them break the law (remember - - the doddering O'Connor has been all over the map lately and it is unknown whether she is still fully aware) the rats would certainly not get the free ride they got from the thoroughly corrupt New Jersey Supreme Court.
Not kind. I think it's a legitimate question seeing how fast Kerry is falling and it's quite apparent that there is no rule a Dem won't bend or break.
