These people are INSANE. They hate everything that is good and right in this world. Very telling..

That protest is making me think we will see riots and an actual physical war between left and right in this country.

I agree. I wish I could afford to go there and join PW (only I would have been armed with pepper spray and would have used it liberally--pardon the pun).

Those Morons in the video would have loved the signs I have in the back window of my car. The first says, "Support Terrorism! Elect Kerry!" The second says, "Religion of Peace? Ask Daniel Perl & Nick Berg..."

I've had them showing for about 5 months. I've gotten lots of thumbs up and positive comments. About a week ago I had my first angry reaction when I parked my car on the street where I work. There was a guy standing on the sidewalk a few parking spaces ahead of me next to a mini-van that had alternating Kerry and USMC stickers.

As I neared him he looked at me and said, "nice signs, I guess..." I thought he was going to say something positive, but when I got up to him he just went ballistic, started ranting at me, and sticking his finger in my face. He was upset because he thought I was calling him a terrorist. I was calm (though I thought I might have to fight him), smiled, and tried to talk to him politely. Everytime I opened my mouth he shouted me down. Finally I just excused myself and went around him while he screamed a final FU at my back.

These people are total nut jobs. But all I can say is "bring It On!" If its a fight they want, I'm not the kind of guy who brings a knife to a gun-fight.

FOX has been going a little soft on us lately, and I'm not the only FReeper who has reported this observation.

They are still more apt to report "real news" that might not perfectly fit the alphabet media's leftist template, but they don't seem as willing to push the ideological threshold as they once did.

I don't know if someone with a lot of political influence and/or money got to them, or they just got cold feet after generating some "controversy", or what. But I'm awfully glad we still have Rush and FR to check things out with, just to make sure we're informed about whats really going on, as opposed to just what we are "supposed" to know about.

It seems that FOX News' ratings indicated that their "fair & balanced" approach was indeed catching on in popularity; if they should for whatever reason cave in to leftist demands for media / propiganda conformity, then I can't see their ratings and subsequent ad revenues doing anything but going down into the pit with them.

But we all know that "ratings" are not always what drives editorial decisions any more than the "reviews" or box-office reciepts determine the content of the "entertainment" spewing out of Hollyweed, don't we?

With Capitalism, it's the "bottom line" that determines the nature and quality of a product, be it tangible or intellectual, isn't it?

But there are competing ideologies in our culture, with competing agendae; there may be much more powerful, albeit covert incentives other than profit in play here - especially when it comes to institutions that need to be controlled in order to subvert and control a culture... or a Nation.

The press and "entertainment" industry are a couple of examples. How about "Education"?
I'll bet you can think of a few more key institutions that don't seem to care how much currency they earn... or waste... in pursuit of the Socialist agenda.

So - have NBC-CBS-CNN-PBS et al. changed their collectivist editorial bias significantly (if at all) in response to their apparently tanking ratings lately, as a free market economy might suggest that they would?

Besides, by tomorrow most of the prime, high value targets will be gone.

If there is to be a climactic orgasm of hate and violence, I would expect it to begin right after the sun goes down tonight.

And I, for one, fully expect cooperation and collusion between the true anarchists and the ever - lurking Islammonazis when it all goes down.
The peaceniks will probably provide the distraction / diversion while the islammic jihaddist "pros" go after the high-value targets.

Willing, usefull idiots have already run successful probes of security, getting into the Convention Hall and well within an islammokazis' kill radius of some such HVTs, including our Vice President.

Had those "ActUp" thugs yesterday been wired with explosives instead of whistles and banners, a LOT of young GOP Deligates would not be coming home next weekend.

And even Mr. CARD up at the podium would have likely been at least wounded significantly by the shrapnel.

Do you suppose that some misguided soul suffering and dying of AIDS might consider blowing himself up in order to wreak "vengance" upon the object of his insane hatred?

And I'll bet that there is even a Mosque conveiniently nearby that would be glad to fit him up with the appropriate attire for such an adventure, as well.

But back when I was in the security business, we had to constantly speculate on just such scenarios in order to thwart them. I'm kinda glad I got out of it really; it can sort of get to you after a while.

Up to this point there have been a few punches and kicks thrown, and a few dissenting signs torn up. But if the history of the 1960's and '70s is any indicator, they will save the really tactical options for last.

And it could get seriously nasty.

I hope I'm wrong - I really do. But I have learned to respect History over the years.

I suspect that you have made a few enemies of all the right sort by now, but you need to be seriously careful as the afternoon wears on. They have probably marked you for "special handling" when their time is right, and no doubt have some special way in which they intend to express their appreciation for your dissent over the past week.
I would not be surprised if pictures of you are already circulating amongst them, and you are being constantly watched. After the police are sufficiently diverted and occupied elsewhere is when they will make their move.
And unless there are about 300 of you, well armed, drilled, trained and led - you'd best not be there.

Personally, about the time the first police vehicle is torched, I'd be excersizing my extraction options PDQ. You do what you want, of course.

Again, most of these critters are just spoiled, dope-sucking indoctrinated punks (Thank you, NEA; may we have ANOTHER generation of these?) but there will usually be a few of them, usually in positions of leadership among them, who you really need to look out for.

These "pros" really don't mind hurting people, and relish the opportunity to do so as long as they can get away with it. You have seen the seething, venomous hatred in these people writhing mostly beneath the surface, like volcanic lava, with just a little fire popping out here and there on occasion.

But tonight, all restraint may be abandoned and old Vesuvius may come uncorked all over the streets of New York.

All this hatred can't be contained and surpressed forever, you know.

And there are those among us who know just how to foment, concentrate, and direct all that negative energy in order to advance their sinister causes.

These people are desperate, And I'm not sure that they are going to have much better an opportunity to act on their impulses and rage before the Elections than tonight.

My appologies in advance for any consternation my dire speculations may have aroused; again, I hope and pray that I am wrong here. Those with Loved ones at the Convention* have been worried enough, Lord knows.

But those of us who lived through the turbulent '60s have seen this sort of thing building like a thunderstorm in the past, and have learned what to expect after a while.
There comes a time when you are wise to batton down the hatches and shorten sail in the face of an oncoming storm, as many Florida Residents are having to do right now with "Ferdnand" bearing down on them with 145 MPH winds and 15-foot tidal surges.

And I think I feel and smell something nearly as sinister and destructive coming to New York, all too soon.

If they still had cows, they might well be gathered at one end of the pasture and acting oddly...

*PS; Had I a Son or Daughter at the Convention, I would be seriously advising them, as best i could, to watch tonight's speeches etc. on television, at some Motel in New Jersey or someplace in another county if they were too far away to make it home by then. I would not be comfortable with them being at the Conference or even anywhere in the area after 1700 hrs. tonight.
