Kerry on local radio at the American Legion convention in Nashville.
He starts off by buying John Glenn's support by promising him another trip into space.
Opening joke about him having a problem keeping his speech under 10 minutes falls absolutely flat.
I know that I am not the only one, but every time I hear that Traitors voice I get sick and it's far worse when I hear him talk about "his service". There must be a special hell for that Freak.
I just listened to it, I didn't watch it other than the last few seconds. To me, it looked to me like a setup. All that was shown of the crowd were those who sat near or behind the stage, ( likely a bunch of old fart's that he had bussed in for the event ). It looked like the rest of the room was black out.
The anti war legacy is in full bloom today in NYC.
Thanks again to the anti war protesters of the 60's
The Kerry's and Fonda's of the world are in force today.
While I fully support the 1st amendment
I wonder why there is such an effort to shut Vietnam Vets who speak against Kerry.
Even certain FReepers want "the Vietnam issue" dropped
because they fear a backlash to President Bush.
Well I AM going to exercise MY 1st amendment right.
I'm NOT going to be silent.
The 58,000 plus Brothers and Sisters who are on the Wall
and the Brothers and Sisters who died at home of injuries and suicides
will no longer go unanswered.
And come Nov 2nd I for one, along with MANY,MANY others, will be able to say
"I honestly did what I could do to once again defend my country."
The likes of the Kerry's and Fonda's of the anti war "movement" changed the course of my own life.
They ARE NOT going to treat the troops of today,
like they did myself and countless others in the past!
THIS I VOW
What? no follow up question from his (and I use the term loosely) fellow veterans?
Hey, Kerry, how about releasing your book?
Hey, Kerry, why were you holding the American flag upside down and mocking the U.S. Marine Corps?
Hey, Kerry, ...etc
Wouldn't that be ironic?
I saw Kerry walking around...after the speach on Fox...the vets didn't seem all that warm towards Kerry. Glenn was well received.
Shhhh....that's exactly what we want to happen.... :)
It's against their Kerry creed.
Ron Silver asked a very good questions last night on MSNBC regarding the first Gulf War.
Silver said that we had every one in the coalition, we had UN support, Saddam had invaded another country....and STILL STILL STILL STILL STILL he didn't vote for that war.
(the multiple STILLs are mine)
So Kerry lies again when he says he would get more people in the coalition than George Bush has, and when he says he would go to the UN while George Bush hasn't.
Both those things occurred in the first Gulf War and Kerry voted against going to war!
He ended up with health care.
I was roaring. He said the congress votes themselves the best healthcare in the world, and YOU PAY FOR IT! (emphasis his)
I thought you bum, YOU are the congress! You are bragging about ripping us off?
Once in a while the camera slipped back. It's a full house. But from the applause you'd think he was trapped in an elevator or something.
When Bush walked out, the audience he was facing was panned. They were standing, applauding, cheering, until he was well out of sight. They didn't show that audience area with Kerry. That is what needed to be shown to get a real sense of the difference in reception.
I agree with Rush. They kept the camera tight on Kerry, so as not to show any negative reaction to the speech.
I had it on mute -- thinking that if he did apologize to Swiftees, I wanted to watch his body language.
Or to be more subtle: "At least his exhalations fertilize the plants!"
He tries to mention McCain as much as he can......maybe he hopes the uninformed will think McC is his 'runnung mate' ?
Yes. It turns out that out of the "170,000" artifacts that were "stolen", only about 6 are actually missing.
To use a musician's term, Kerry is a LIZARD.
Ahhhh, isn't Tora Bora part of Afganistan?
