Wolf Blitzer, during a roundtable discussion with two other guys, brought up the "Purple heart band-aid" gimmick used by some delegates at the GOP convention to ridicule Kerry. Wolf then said, "This kind of thing could backfire if it is viewed as a slam against veterans who DID earn their Purple Hearts."
I fell out of my chair and couldn't get to my computer fast enough to post this. Incredible faux pas by Blitzer.
We all got what Wolf's "real" point was (duh).
There is definitely tacit acknowledgement in the phrasing reported here that concedes (I'm sure unintentionally by Blitzer) that Kerry did not earn his purple hearts as other vets did.
Some people think that Bush's statement that the "WOT can't be won" will hurt us. I say, Nay Nay. It merely reaffirms again that there IS A WAR ON TERROR, which Kerry has tried to deny exists!!! It's beautiful. They are so in a box.
CNN (Clintoon News Netwits) are going to dump Kerry! I think the goal is to move in Hitlery.
??
That's what Wolf said....
Wolf has seriously been out of control with his DNC talking points this convention. He doesn't even hide his hatred for the GOP and the President.
I think GWB is on Rush at 1:45 eastern...
Ping for your other thread.........
Take 2 Alert
See this group of Swift Boats patrolling together? They are NOT SERVING together!!! Only the ones on the SAME BOAT are serving together! Each group of personnel on each boat know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the personnel on the other boat, PERIOD !! If they say they do, they are Republican LIARS !! Unless the one talking is a DemocRAT. Then he is telling the truth, of course.
Bump!
I agree that that is likely what Blitzer meant, but he definitely said it wrong.
Freudian truth bump!

I believe that there are some in the media who are beginning to have questions about Kerry. Is this a mistake or is this intentional? The Washington Post and the Boston Globe have run some critical articles on Kerry.
It could be that "permission" is being given to be more critical of Kerry.
The theme of the RNC Convention so far, has been "we are all Americans." If the media is softening on Kerry and the conventions sways the swing voters to Bush, Kerry is done.
But, what do I know? Just some random thoughts.
This is today's Democratic talking points. I heard this dumb young lady repeating the exact same line.
Read this carefully!
Re:RATS complaining about the purple hearts at the convention.
I REALLY think that deep down most of the RATS want to play the role of the child and really resent it when the people they deem as being adults and in authority (ie: Republicans) resort to similiar child-like behaviors. Deep down they know we need real adults in this world, and they crave the security that adults bring, so they can act out with impunity.
Lots of little Peter Pans in need of a Wendy.
