Some of the stupidest things I ever posted were posts in opposition to Arnold. Anytime I start to think I know what I am talking about, I will just remember my opposition to Arnold.

There were many freepers who pointed out what a great Governor Arnold would make... They were right and I was wrong.

The Schwarzenegger speech was the most convincing speech of this convention. I kept thinking it was a different approach than the famous Reagan speech of 1964, but just as effective. It was very well written and very well delivered.

Obviously some of these Freepers/talking heads do not have kids or they forget what it was like to be young! I refuse to watch any news and especially cable news -- Fox News can stuff it with the rest of cable news and the alphabet networks!

For what's it is worth, the twins' speech wasn't a model of "gravitas", but so what -- it had charm and was light-hearted.

I think it served a purpose and overall I enjoyed it.

The twins and Laura were there to "humanize" Bush. Very good idea I thought.

I agree. While I like the fact that Barbara and Jenna did their own thing, they will be (and from what I've seen already are) slammed by the mainstream media. It's a shame that our country has become so jaded, that they expect "Stepford children", such as the Kerry daughters seem to be.
