Bob Dornan (R) and Pat Kadell (D) were just on Fox's Hannity & Colmes debating Kerry's predicament. Bob Dornan went on a savage attack, showing burned US flag and VC/Communist flags that were burned by Kerry's anti-war group in 1971. Dornan also wanted Fox to have anti-Kerry widows from the Vietnam war. Kadell was actually rational and his analysis I thought were excellent and on point. Kadell bascially said that Kerry/Democrats made a mistake making Kerry's Vietnam service the cornerstone of his campaign instead of talking about the issues.
In 69 when I was drafted I sought exits. I considered Canada. I sought "safe" units like the guard. I tried the Air Force since I was in the CAP. All unavailable to me as I was told these units were all full. So it was the Army or Marines for me. I wasn't alone in this circumstance. It was as if the guard was reserved for the elite amongst us then.
No, America needed grunts and I was one of it's chosen by draft as were hundreds of thousands of others like me.
Make no mistake about it. The guard then was a way out of nam.
Disagree. Dornan is more patriotic than any four-flushing leftist pile of crap in this country.
Go back to where you came from you troll. This is the last time I am responding to your inane posts.
"We really need a housecleaning of the Republicans in Washington...."
I agree fully. There are a handfull of politicians such as Duke Cunningham who would not fold like a cheap suit under the democrat barrage. The Swiftboat Veterans have set a leadership example that those coconuts on Capitol Hill would do well to heed.
Why don't you just pick up a paper and realize the Republicans are above the fray. This "war" is between Kerry and the Vietnam Veterans that Kerry labeled as "murderers" and "rapists". Kerry is an opportunist consumed by his hubris for power.
Go back to ElPee where you came from.
Unfortunately for Kerry he's not as good a liar as Clinton. And there are too many witnesses to buy or threaten off (or otherwise dispose).
If we clean out the Republicans in Washington, that leaves us with more Democrats.
That airplane was for the defense of Texas. Not really needed then nor now.
I agree. The most important part is let Kerry and VietVets refight there own war. If not for personal reasons than for political reasons, the more Kerry has to defend himself the better off the President will be.
This thing is coming full circle. With all the Swift Boat controversy it really started with Terry MC calling Bush a deserter.
BIG BUMP!!!! Love ya. B-1, eccentricities and all... keep it coming....
While we're trying Sadam, why don't we try Ramsey Clark for Treason at the same time?
Bob Dornan is a Republican, so I think your comments are not on the mark. That is who I was talking about, not the Swifties who I support (and gave money to, have you?).
Replay on now!! FOX News
I had to stay up to watch this again!
I think there is hope. I know quite a few young people who like and are voting for President Bush. My two oldest daughters are conservative (18 and 16) and have been telling me of their consservative friends who are voting for GWB.
And as I've said before, my oldest has "eggplant" colored hair and a pierced nose...so you can't always tell by appearances, lol!
bttt
Thank you. :-)
Hey, you asked a question that on it's face was absurd. The question isn't have we gone too far because we're getting backlash. It's have we gone too far because we're morally in the wrong. If you haven't got enough God given sense to understand that morality is the gauge of how far you've gone from the American perspective, you don't belong in a position of power in this party. We don't govern by polls in this party, sir. Nor are we mobsters like the Democrats who have run rough shot over this country for 40 years. I've no problem pointing out the error of John Kerry's arguments or the truth of his record. That's fair game. If you are going to honestly sit there and say that politics and morality are seperate after what we did with Clinton for the sake of morality and standing up for what's right, you are the worst kind of hypocrite and we don't need that here.
So save me the speaches about being a troll. If you had some sense of morality, you wouldn't need to ask if we've gone too far, you'd know. Since you don't, continue your poll, maybe something will rub off.
