I have been waiting for someone to provide validation for the irritation I experienced when watching the recent Democratic convention. My wait is over. A prominent Democrat has come forward to corroborate my suspicions about the con-job being carried out by the likes of John Kerry, John Edwards and the Clintons. |

**selling themselves as middle-Americans with traditional values, as if the none of them played a part in the rise of the counterculture and the protest movements of the 1960s and 1970s.**
This really irked me with the dims at the convention.

This was, indeed, part of the convention that didn't make that much sense either. Other than at that time, Kerry thought he could snow the populace with his wrapping himself in the American flag and his Vietnam service days. Forget what he did when he came home....................
This guy strayed really close to the truth for a second there... perhaps another utopian marxist smacked with the reality of... well... reality. He was pretty close there for a bit but you could sense the collective begin to exert its control over him right there at the end.
**Listening to the speakers at the Democratic Convention, one would think that no one ever marched under the Viet Cong flag, chanting Ho-ho-Ho Chi Minh, the NLF is gonna win; that no one ever called our military baby killers and the police pigs; that there was no one at the teach-ins where the ideas of Herbert Marcuse and Frantz Fanon were promoted as valid insights into the moral sickness endemic to a place called Amerika.**
Any thoughts here?
I'd love to see the democrats stay home.
It would be the right thing to do.
It's the honest thing for them to do.
They must be true to themselves.
Yes, it's their conscience that would be wounded if they were to vote for John Kerry.
I'm only thinking about them and their feelings.
I'd suggest they stay home, and maybe have a warm cup of ginseng tea with organic blueberry biscuits.
I understand. I'm with them 100%.
I'll even supply the biscuts.
**many voters may simply not be inspired to vote at all.**
And I'll supply the organic tea and a cold pack for their headache!
Nice points in the blog; but way too wordy. Pinging for topic content to fellow bloggers. You three I read and stay with...this one I stayed with due to content.
Ping.
The problem is, most Americans are too young to remember the Viet Nam war. Most of them never heard of Kerry before - they have no clue about his history.
The Left knows this and purposely exploits this ignorance. Even many conservatives in their late 30's/early 40's don't understand where the Swift Vets are coming from.
Nice uniform sailor, but can you windsurf?

Well, McGovern ran on "counterculture" values (at least he was honest!) and look where it got him. Every Dem since has obscured, denied, and lied about his actual views. Never say the Dems can't learn from history.
bttt
Obviously that has changed. There are still many socially conservative Dems (like my parents.. who think FDR is still the president). But they have no idea who is cracking the whip for the Dems nowadays. The far-left has taken over. Of course opportunists like Clinton will show up every now and then. But behind the opportunists are the far-left true-believers who are more than eager to inflict more of their Marxist insanity on the country.
Killed one popup there. Heard the Johns being flushed repeatedly and
then RealPlayer opened with Al-Qerry talking about war atrocity lies.
NICE!
