Communist elitist rarely think of others, it's not the demo-comie thing to do in life. Kerry should have had his US citizenship revoked and spent some time in a soviet gulag.

Actually, Colmes was unusually respectful toward Mr. Galanti. I think he's one of the few libs that has some semblance of decency. All the left has is demonization of the messenger. Very difficult to demonize a POW who was tortured. Even McCain hasn't come out to call the POWs against Kerry "dishonorable liars". They had to run him off to Norway so that he wouldn't even be available to be asked what he thinks of of the POWs.

I don't think so Chief. All he was saying was that the torure was worse while Ho was alive, not that it stopped becuase it didn't. They used Kerry and Fonda as excuses to beat confessions out of them.

2.5 million vietnamese were slaughtered after the US pulled out, 1.4 million fled to the US, 1.3 million drowned and starved to death - and that is Kerry's work!!! He would do the same in Iraq!

Wow!
Now thats something! His kidnappers played Kerry's voice to him!
Kerry should be ashamed!

"I think he's one of the few libs that has some semblance of decency."I usually get flamed for this, but I agree. Alan Colmes strikes me as a decent and honest man (for a liberal).

I wish I knew the ANSWER to that but I do know that one had to serve for 8 years back then. Divided between active and reserve duty. A cursory check of Kerry's website ( I will not do) will probably tell you when he enlisted. Add 8 years and I am positive his 1971 speech was well within that timeframe.

Kerry was discharged from the Navy January 3,1970 at his request so that he could run for Congress.Request granted.

Kerry is a despicable man. I despise him as a vet, I despise him as a Catholic and I despise him as a man. I once tried to engage him in conversation on the streets of Boston during a Clinton visit. He looked at me as if I were dog dirt on his shoe, me a blue collar guy with work boots on. So much for the "common man" bs.

Well, now I'm getting ticked off at him again - he's being a real pain in the butt to Jay Nordlinger of National Review.
To: Libertina
Thanks.......this is something that ought to be bumped to the top of every thread about Kerry's anti war position.

"Can someone please answer this question: What was K's status when he testified before Congress, went to Paris, etc??.
Active Navy reserves? Inactive?" ......
I think he resigned his commision. Not sure when, tho. If he was no longer in the Navy, why was he in uniform?

You are mistaken if you think Carvile and company wouldn't attack Galanti.
