"Al Jolson in October" -- Swifties have a mega-october surprise?
To the Point ^ | August 19th | Dr. Jack Wheeler

AL JOLSON IN OCTOBER
TTP Intelligence Bulletin
Dr. Jack Wheeler
Thursday, August 19, 2004

All indications are that the Swiftees’ offensive against Hanoi John is severely damaging the Kerry/Edwards candidacy. The television ads by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and the #1 bestseller on Amazon, Unfit For Command, have credibly assaulted the basis for Kerry’s campaign: that his self-proclaimed status as a “war hero” during 4 months in Vietnam qualify him to be President of the United States.

However… in the famous words of Al Jolson: “You ain’t heard nothin’ yet.” The Swiftees have prepared an October Surprise for Hanoi John that is going to blow his candidacy out of the water. I can’t tell you what it is, but I can tell you the television and radio ads have already been taped, and they are going to have an impact like an elephant sitting on a donkey.

The Swiftees have three things in abundance: money, brains, and balls. They know exactly how to go for the jugular, they have the dough to do it, and they are saving their best shot for last. The Democrats will not know what hit them and will not know how to retaliate. Get set folks. The Kerry Train Wreck is not going to be a pretty sight.

Thanks. I hadn't gotten that far on the Sunday AM thread so I'd missed it.

That might explain how the idiot leading one of our convoys managed to get us lost. Only one, yes ONE, major north-south road, and he managed to get us lost. I had to turn a 2 1/2 ton truck around on a ox-cart path with rice paddies on each side. I said bad words.

Of course, when you take a small convoy down an ox-cart path that ends at an old French Colonial plantation style home, the locals would know that you were going to have to come back. I was mighty nervous during the back-tracking. AND I had a truck full of classified equipment that I was sworn to protect with my life. We all decided that the convoy leader would lead any charge towards an ambush.

I truly believe that if your unit was ambushed (and thank God you weren't), it would have been Lt. John F. Kalley leading the VC.

The Dems tried to use the DUI charge in 2000. I know a reporter who was told to use it. She said the paper she worked for knew full well that the DUI was for a DIFFERENT, NON-RELATED George Bush in Texas. Word got back to the Bush camp and 3 major Texas papers cancelled print on the story.

just an fyi. They did try it. It failed.

I would find it amusing and ironic for the Dems to try to thow a DUI out there. They know all about those DUI's. They should know it would never stick.

Why do you keep tormenting me with your "make believe" stories?

The DUI story only happens in the future!

As a matter of fact, one of the 'incidents' that I was involved in I was 2' from an incoming 108MM rocket. Fortunately, that two feet was 2 feet of sandbags. However, I was knocked to the ground. My hearing has never been the same. And the rest of the story....it was an American-made rocket. Some traitor had sold it to the VC (it was not friendly fire). So, treason is a hot button for me.

35 years later, I am taking a list of meds to deal with the aftermath of getting a bit too close to the grim reaper too many times. I still don't sleep through the night (the night was Charlie's)but at least I am not drinking myself to death anymore. For that I am most grateful.

Let's see, which would I prefer, a President who had a few beers too many at one period in his life and then stopped drinking or a President who's a coward, liar, fake, phony and traitor?

I'll go with the guy who was upfront about a few beers and was man enough to know when to quit and admit it.

I had a little bit of money earmarked for President Bush which I sent to the Swiftees. These guys are doing what a politician would never do, especially a Republican.

God bless the Swiftees.

wasnt 'nothing' - without it, Bush would have won Florida by 1-2% and we wouldnt have had the post-election mess.
