That's one thing I have in favor of 527s. It is the lack of funding restrictions on the 527s that makes me uneasy.

527s should be subject to the same funding restrictions as campaigns... that might work to keep billionaires from wielding a powerful 527 for political gain.

527's can't advertise on TV after the 60 day to election time period. However, I think this will be a 28 minute "documentary". From what I have read it has already been filmed.

I have no idea how a 28 minute documentary will be aired but a documentary is not a commercial, just ask Michael Moore and Moveon.org.

IIRC, Jack Wheeler was the author of "Fallujah Delenda Est," one of the most brilliant essays I've read in recent years, following the bushwhacking of our boys in Fallujah.

Maybe Kerry’s band of brothers will come clean and admit they were paid to lie for him.
That would be my kind of October surprise.

Funny story, but Quang Tri is nowhere near the Mekong Delta.

Get set folks. The Kerry Train Wreck is not going to be a pretty sight.

And I thought Mrs. Heinz Kerry was a wreck!

It was on whichever Sunday TV talkshow he's on. It was first reported on the FR Sunday show thread here:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1196760/posts?page=379#379

"George Will just said a documentaty is being produced, apparently by SBVT, that is 28 minutes long, that will give legs to the Kerry-POW issue, scheduled for release in September."

There was further discussion the thread verifying Will's comments.

Not unless they've re-routed the Mekong River several hundred miles north.

Oh, but sir, you obviously weren't using the same maps as Lt. (j.g.) John F. Kalley!

Seriously, though, that paragraph was inspired by D.C. morning radio personality Doug Tracht (a.k.a. "The Greaseman") and his bizarre exploits as "Captain Fury." Thank you for the service rendered to your country, and God bless you and your's! Freegards!

Again repeating the fact that the SBVT and BC'04 have no tangible connection BUT...if what you say is true, it'll be nice payback for the "Bush DWI" stunt the Rats pulled four years ago.

Kinda Karmic, eh?

First of all it is the 527's not the 529.

Peach, thank you. Your reply beat my proposed ping to you for the answer.

George Will said yesterday that the Swift Boat vets were preparing a 28 minute video that will be released in Sept. or Oct.

This is how the campaign finance laws deal with 527's, at least as explained by another freeper:

Under federal law, the 527 groups cannot coordinate their ads with the presidential campaigns. But if they use individual donations, rather than labor union or corporate donations, they can run ads praising or attacking a candidate right up until election day.

However… in the famous words of Al Jolson: "You ain't heard nothin' yet." The Swiftees have prepared an October Surprise for Hanoi John that is going to blow his candidacy out of the water. I can't tell you what it is, but I can tell you the television and radio ads have already been taped, and they are going to have an impact like an elephant sitting on a donkey.

Holy smokes! Swiftees AND Hillary both have an October surprise? Add those two surprises to the terrorist election surprise, and we're going to have a pretty wild ride over the next two months. I think Kerry's toast. :-)

I have it on good authority that the Swifties have got their hands on a rather grainy film made by Cambodia Kerry on an old outdated 8mm camera. It shows a somewhat younger Kerry in a dingy Washington hotel room wearing only what appears to be a Green Beret bush hat. The other party in the room is not clearly shown but those who have viewed the film say only that she seems to have the biggest thighs ever seen outside the elephant pen at the local zoo. It is hoped that digital remastering will reveal her identity.

"My apologies. I hope to soon figure out how to find things like that with the search engine."

The trick is to do a search for an article title word for word, whenever possible.

This is one reason why so many people here (myself included) get upset when people do NOT use the correct/actual/verbatim headline when posting stories; makes it much harder for others to check to see if something has been posted already prior to submitting a new post.

The DNC tried that charge four days before the election in 2000, remember?? IT was knocked down and out before it really took hold, but look for it to surface again. THey will do anything to win, but if truth is on our side, their campaign has been badly damaged by the Swifties!!
