Over 1,000,000 Anti-War Protestors Planning to Disrupt Republican National Convention in New York

Pro-Troop Organization Set to Fight Back Against “Blame America” Crowd

[New York] -- In just three weeks, thousands of Republican delegates from around America will descend upon New York City for the 2004 Republican National Convention.

While convention delegates will announce their support for the re-election of President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, another constituency will also be making its way to New York with a very different agenda.

Anti-war organizations have been planning for several months to organize the largest anti-war rally in U.S. history. And thousands of these “Blame America First” organizers have already arrived in New York, conducting meetings on how to disrupt the Republican National Convention and sabotage the message of support for our troops and the war on terrorism.

By the time the convention starts, organizers hope to have upwards of 1 Million anti-war protestors on hand to disrupt the convention – including promises of acts of civil disobedience and violence.

The pro-troop/pro-war-on-terrorism organization, Move America Forward [website: www.MoveAmericaForward.org], has been monitoring these groups and their intentions to capture the media spotlight.

Over 15,000 members of the news media from throughout the U.S. and the world are expected to be on hand to cover the Republican National Convention, giving anti-war protestors an international audience for their message. And one can be sure the news media will be all too willing to cover the protests.

“These organizations represent the most disturbing elements of the ‘Bash America’ crowd and they clearly are determined to use these protests to attract international media coverage for the anti-war movement,” declared Move America Forward Chairman, Howard Kaloogian.

Kaloogian, a three-term Republican representative in the California legislature who also chaired the Recall Gray Davis Committee says it’s time to fight back with a message of support for our troops and the war on terrorism.

“The stakes are high for our nation and the choices we will make when it comes to fighting the terrorist threat. We cannot allow the fringe of this country to break down public support for our military and the morale of our troops the way they did during the Vietnam War.”

How Move America Forward Plans to Fight Back

Move America Forward has produced a series of television ads, with more in production, that they will begin airing in late August, during the Republican National Convention and throughout the month of September.

The ads urge Americans to stand united in support of our troops and the war on terrorism. You can view the ads at the Move America Forward website by clicking this link: http://www.MoveAmericaForward.org/?Page=AdCampaign

“We have to realize that this is a battle for the hearts and minds of the American public. And since we know the news media will be sympathetic to the message of the anti-war crowd, we will have to broadcast our message direct and unfiltered to the public through the use of television and radio commercials,” said Kaloogian.

Kaloogian says Move America Forward is on a fundraising push for the next several weeks to reach their goal of over $5 million for their national television and radio ad blitz. The group is asking for help from Americans who want to see another voice to balance the lopsided coverage from the mainstream media.

“We’ve done smaller advertising buys to date, having raised hundreds of thousands of dollars, but now the stakes are being raised and we must be ready to respond to the “Blame America First” crowd at every turn.

To make a contribution to help air these ads on national television networks, and on your local television and radio stations, visit the Move America Forward contribution page: http://www.MoveAmericaForward.org/Contribution

I figure this is the best place, though I never heard from Mr. Robinson.

And if they snarl traffic worse than it is and riot, it will backfire on them. Normal people hate protestors.

You're right. Can you imagine being an undecided voter in Michigan or Missouri and seeing these morons smashing storefront windows, hurling expletives at delegates? No way will this go over well with middle America.

Agreed. They are likely to show their stupidity, hatred and violence, much to the distaste of the mushy middle in swing states who will conclusively decide for Bush as a result.

I'd be inclined to go along with the above. That is not going to take away from the damage, inconvenience and outright danger the NYPD, NYFD and everyday New Yorkers will suffer in the meantime. The "Ruckus Society" types are aware of this and have planned bloodless monkeywrenching stunts, but if prior experience is any indication, a good many of these people will be unable keep from being carried away by their rage and hatred.

Like Seattle, '99, "Nurse Bloomberg" has done a great job of telegraphing weakness and the Big Apple will reap the whirlwind. Just like Chicago '68 this will boomerang on the democrats big time; television's thirst for sensationalism will override their urge to censor footage for the benefit of their, er, "co-religionists" and middle america will get an eyefull.

I have noticed that some of the airlines have been offering very cheap tickets to NYC from the west coast, though.

A million Democrats smeared from head to toe with their own excrement so that the cops won't handle them and gunpowder to throw the dogs off. How will they control such a crowd?

Free expression, peaceful demonstration and discussion are American rights.

But disrupting, threatening, causing violence, destruction, or facilitating the work of terrorists, is not.

I say, the MINUTE the turn to violence, spray them with machinegun fire (w/ CS gas as a warning, first).

I just hope the NYPD and FDNY don't go on strike and protest alongside the protestors. They are working without a contract and are pissed off BIG TIME at Bloomberg!

The American people will rightly perceive them as pro dim and anti pub and make the dims pay in November.

Anyone remember 1968? Sure they attacked the dim convention but everyone knew they were libs. They won't be able to spin out of this debacle if they go through with it. I realize anarchists don't care, but the dims better.

Actually, I hope the dims DO miscalculate on this. Disrupt the convention? Whatever. We don't need one, we know who our nominee is.

One of the best signs from a protest held in Louisville by one of these kooks was "We have bombs. Why can't Sadaam?"

A million wild-eyed, frothing-at-the-mouth, liberal-demokkkRAT disruptors descending on NYC? Yikes!

RINO Bloomberg had better wake-up and get some security going to protect the delegates and citizens. Last I heard (Hannity on Tuesday), he wasn't doing anything like Boston did, with secure areas.

If I was living or working there, I'd be planning a 10-day vacation at the same time the GOPers are in town.

Seems to me that if these scum bags riot in the streets and I was some sort of al Qaeda type, that would be my prime time window to detonate some explosives. They must be looking for some action during the RNC. The a**hole demonstrators would be martyrs for moveon.org.
