On the 5th I posted an article title The Media is the Real Enemy - Watch Media Reaction to the Swift Boat Vets Story and be Convinced!. After observing what has happened since and in particular the performance typified by Crossfire and Hardball tonight, is there any question remaining that our primary activism objective needs to be defeating the media hegemony that nourishes the beast?
I've been involved in FReeper activism beginning way back with the March for Justice in '98. I now believe my energies have been nothing but shadow boxing. Every single action that we have undertaken against groups or individuals can trace their existence to an adoring dim media that creates them, props them up and then protects them from damage through propaganda, misdirection and lies.
I think it's time we redirect our efforts to the source that creates, sustains and drives liberalism.
Comments and suggestions?
O'Neill is centered, unflappable. He's cauterizing Kerry's umbilical cord to Vietnam, revealing the Demo lunacy of dumping Dean for a lying cretin; and it's been fun to watch every step of way.
Here is the Email that I sent Chris Mathews C/O HardBall:
Dear Chris Mathews,
I am stunned at your treatment of Mr. O'Neill on your show tonight. I have always respected you and your show, and I am completely shocked and dismayed after watching your show tonight.
I am a Navy Vietnam combat Veteran. I served on the Mekong Delta 1970 - 1971. I know a little bit about what went on over there, back then.
Apparently you did not take the time to examine any of the documents that support Mr. O'Neill's position prior to your interview with him. You have done the Veterans of this country a grave disservice by not treating Mr. O'Neill's position regarding Kerry with at least a modicum of respect. You owe Mr. O'Neill a return invitation to your show, and you owe your audience the professionalism of at least being aware of the subject matter.
Remember, it was KERRY that made his Vietnam service the cornerstone of his presidential candidacy, and it was Kerry that invited us to examine his record. Then when presented with an examination of his record (which you apparently did not even take the time to review), you threw it away like so much trash without even giving it a fair hearing.
Mr. Mathews, this is an important issue to Vietnam Veterans. The facts that the Swift Boat Vets for the Truth have about Kerry's Vietnam service, and his Jane Fonda / John Kerry actions following his return needs to be told in an honest debate. The American people deserve to know the truth. After all, Kerry is the one that asked for an examination of his record to occur. The slam -job that you did to Mr. O'Neill was disgraceful, and I am hurt by your actions.
I hope that you take my comments with the honest respect that they are given.
Sincerely,
Real name here
Why spend that kind of money when we can bring them to their knees for much less?
This is true. They are becoming irrelevant to all groups.
I think it's time we redirect our efforts to the source that creates, sustains and drives liberalism.

The source that creates, sustains, and drives socialism?
Yes Bob, - how can we rid ourselves of the 'two party' system, if we unconditionally support one half of it?
How about we force newspapers and television networks (not to mention Universities) to hire conservatives NOW?
No question, none at all.
But that would involve discovery, Kerry can't afford that.
He's done, they're done, and Bush will win in a landslide. As much as the leftist media claim we're a nation "divided" they've disclosed the truth: we're united, just not behind them.
Carville was the icing on the cake. I wish I had a copy of his meltdown from the "Rambo Eruption" of the Swiftees.
All that Vietnam "baby killer" mythology is being exposed to the harsh sunlight of truth. Not a moment too soon, but I imagine the vets have been waiting a long time for the Manchurian Candidate to reach for the brass ring. And they put this one in the bullseye.
Stick a fork in the left, guys like Carville will be selling used cars inside of a year.
That's my leitmotif. I admit it. Cheers.
"Bob if FR is going to do anything it first has to stop debating about whether Bush is conservative enough and start a massive response to every media outlet that is actively campaigning for Kerry. We need to flood WP, NYT,CBS,NBC,CNN and now Fox with the other side. We also have to make sure that all of us get off FR long enough to VOTE and take someone with us to VOTE."
Excellent post!
Jim Robinson and I discussed many of these points yesterday.

Great letter.
bttt
Then let's administer the death blow and put them out of their misery .
I agree with you comments on the media. It is obvious that so many of the so-called journalist have no intention of abiding by the SPJ Code of Ethics. Not sure some of them have ever taken an Ethics Course and if they did, they forgot it. I keep sending the Code of Ethics to various reporters and tell them to see if they can figure out what it says since they obvious are not abiding by the Code.
Count me in on any activism. Almost done with my daughter's sorority recruitment (ends the 17th) and our Republican Women's Club BBQ on the 21st and then I am free to totally get involved in any project.
Arianna? How appropriate.
Have you ever heard of ANYONE in that time gaining the amount of medal hardware in 4 months other than Kerry?
"Very exciting to be a part of this revolution!"
yes, it is! well put!
Ratings always matter. It pays the bills and puts the kids through that lousy liberal college...hey...wait there a sec...
That sounds a bit brown-shirt. Just let the market work its will. Talk radio is now almost a conservative monopoly. It is quite "unfair" to liberals. The market is a harsh and demanding mistress.
And repeatedly come out on top.
