Anti-Kerry Swift boat vet Lt. Commander George Elliot retracts and regrets anti Kerry statements. He is the one that said Kerry did not deserve the Silver Star medal and was featured in the commercial. Heard it just now on the radio - nothing in print yet.
Where did you find this? It's very serious and could doom Bush if true.
Fascinating quote. Wonder what he means?
The ad was stupid in the first place. The sooner it's off the air, the better. Maybe this will bring us closer to "sooner."
The jury is still out. Wait until the book comes out and see what the public thinks. I don't think Kerry's war record is off the table. The Dems would like that to be the case, but it will be hard to ignore a best seller. After reading Chapter 3, there are more issues than just medals. The swifities are even more upset with Kerry's false accusations against them as war criminals who committed atrocities. If you haven't read Chapter 3, download it from the Human Events website. I think you will enjoy how Kerry's oft stated claim to have entered Cambodia on XMAS Eve is thoroughly debunked.
I feel sorry for the man. He was trying to be a patriotic American, and there's no doubt in my mind the "Chinese Mafia" has paid him a visit.
Remember Cathleen Willy? Her cat was killed, and her daughter threatened. She spoke out against a Democrat, too.
All of that has been addressed on the "DNC goes after the Swift Boat Vets" threads :0)
This discharge form indicates President Bush received an "honorable discharge".

Where does it say "undesirable"?
Or was bought out or threatened. I trust John Kerry and his democRATs about as much as I trust terrorists.
He/she said DNC e-mail. They're attempting to start a rumor. Tell a lie long enough, and it eventually is seen as truth.
It's not the facts, it's "the seriousness of the charge."
The fact remains, he committed WAR crimes during 4 MONTHs in VN, and then tried to paint ALL VN soldiers with that brush. When he issues an apology for that and admitts it was ONLY himself that committed the crimes, then maybe the controversy will subside.
Something tells me he was intimidated into this. Either with lawsuits he can't afford to fight or blackmail. I hope the rest of them stand together and stay strong.
I think they are getting paid for all this in the first place, especially in connection with the book. I wonder how much more the Dims offered him.
The clinton goons threatened Juanita Broaddrick to sign an affidavit denying that Clinton raped her.
BINGO. My thoughts exactly.
Elliott was Kerry's direct supervisor and he raised the issue with Kerry at the time:
"When Kerry returned to his base, his commanding officer, George Elliott, raised an issue with Kerry: the fine line between whether the action merited a medal or a court-martial."
"`John, I don't know whether you should be court-martialed or given a medal, court-martialed for leaving your ship, your post,"' Elliott (Kerry's Commanding Officer) recalled in an interview. "
From a Boston Globe article from June 6, 2003 :
FLASHBACK: Heroism, and growing concern about war (Silver Star or Courtmartial for Kerry)
Where does it say "undesirable"?
The DNC propaganda machine cook book. You know, the Marxist handbook.
It doesn't have to be true. It's the seriousness of the charge.
Bush's honorable discharge has already been reported, but the Swift Boat Vets have Kerry on the run. The Dems need a distraction - FAST!
The last couple paragraphs re: Rassmann's confusion over the rice vs. the pilot house injuries as basis for Kerry's third Purple Heart are actually enough to make one stifle a giggle, for heavens' sake!
Laura Ingraham's show this a.m. with guest host Lucianne Goldberg was fascinating...most of the callers were vets, and if their comments are any indication, this story is not going to go away, but rather get uglier for Kerry. Perhaps he's inadvertantly done a good deed by finally getting an honest and broad discussion going about America, the Viet Nam conflict, our soldiers, politicians, and the role of the left...the details given by some of these men were an eye-opener to me, I must say, and while I would not have voted for Kerry anyway before all this, I hope anyone who might have will consider this all very carefully...Kerry doesn't belong anywhere near the W.H., and that's not just my "humble opinion", apparently!
(ping to con just in case you're not further down the thread already!)
President Bush was honorably discharged as that form has been released. The RATs will say and do anything IMHO!
