It depends on who writes the history. Only time will tell. Unfit for Command will be part of the recorded history. Maybe future historians will gain access to Kerry's complete military and medical records. If Kerry doesn't get elected, he will just be a footnote.
I want pictures of him and Hanoi Jane. It's odd there aren't any. He started Vets Against the War, and Fonda funded it.
"We" have. What the left DID was turn the whole thing around and place the burden of proof upon the swift boat vets, IN THE MEDIA. Not the courts, which they would do if they had a case, but the media. They're not refuting the ad with facts, they're trying to destroy these veterans via the media. I therefore give the benefit of the doubt to the Swift Boat Vets for Truth.
He is not a plant or a bad person. He is totally unsophisticated and does not understand the stakes, or that his allegations must be bullet-proof.
What amazes me is that the entire group did not go over this and over this and over this to make sure there were no holes. Must have some shoddy and lazy lawyers.
AS far I can see; we are on the same page; perhaps you have addressed this to the wrong poster?
Unless your name is John Kerry.
Oh, I never said this wouldn't damage Kerry. It will.

Kerry's anti war activities were doing this period!
What is Senator John Kerry's relationship to VVAW?
http://www.vvaw.org/faq/#4
Since Vietnam Veterans Against the War's inception in 1967, tens of thousands of vets, GIs and supporters have participated in and supported the actions of VVAW. One of those members in the early 1970s was John Kerry. Kerry was appointed to the VVAW Executive Committee to assist in preparing Dewey Canyon III, VVAW's limited incursion into the land of Congress in 1971 (Nicosia, 98-99). Kerry made his greatest contribution to the anti-war movement and to VVAW in his speech to the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations on April 23, 1971 (Brinkley, 371-373: Hunt, 109-110; Nicosia, 136-138; Wells, 495).
Content of the speech is found at:
http://lists.village.virginia.edu/sixties/HTML_docs/Resources/Primary/Manifestos/VVAW_Kerry_Senate.html.
By 1972, John Kerry had moved on from VVAW (Brinkley, 406: Hunt, 127-128; Nicosia, 211).
The behavior of Kerry and his decorations are being brought up to garner attention to his behavior after the fact when he went before congress and lied to start his political career.
The facts in this case have been massaged to justify numerous decorations that Kerry and his shipmates received.
But it is only a means to an end. The medals are not the story. The story is Kerry's treasonous behavior after he came home to the detriment of morale and the war in Vietnam that affected thousands of GI's living today.
These personal recollections are just that. Only one version is true, but it cannot be proved like a trial of fact.
The truth is, that the reports and other factual data concerning these events were created from false reports of what actually happened. The reason this happened was to get Kerry out of the Vietnam theater of operations and out of everyones hair. He was a burden and a dangerous commander.
This is not political, it is personal and real. The possibility that Kerry could assume the rank of Commander in Chief is more than we can bear.
His unfitness for this post is the issue. The vets involved are not making this up. What was made up is the inference that Kerry is some sort of hero. Kerry used this to win the Iowa primaries and now uses it in the general election. He started this ball rolling and the vets, democrats, republicans and the like have decided to stand in the breach and bring the issue to the front burner. they have been trying for months and the media has ignored the issue.
Yes, the RNC should distance themselves from this fight. This fight is between the vets and Kerry. It is very personal and very heartfelt. It is our battle, and we have now made it public after many long years of festering. It will continue until Kerry is out of the picture, when ever that may occur.
You can be sure that these vets will carry this fight on until we pee on his grave. We don't care about the politics of it.
Proove this allegation.
Everyone has their price....remember Webb Hubbell and that suitcase of Chinese cash that appeared just before he was scheduled to go to jail? I wonder how much it cost to "turn" Elliot? Divide and conquer--it's the oldest tactic in the book...
