I expect Jesse Jackson to get involved before this is all over.

"....or Michael Irvin time and time again."
I thought about mentioning that...but out of respect for the Cowboy fans here at FR decided to mention our own Stanley Wilson instead.

"I couldn't muster any for the Cowboys if they went 25 years between playoff appearances."
I guess I can see your point, I mean, after all, it's hard to pity a team with 52 playoff victories (NFL record), 8 conference championships (NFL record), and 5 Super Bowl victories (tied with the forty whiners for NFL record).
Go Cowboys!

LOL Dan Patrick: "I'm going to start a rumor. The Cowboys are bringing back Troy Aikman.
Dibbs replies "He IS younger than Testaverde."

Owl,
Some NFC East news. Cowboys QB Q-Cart was seen being "driven out" of the Cowpokes' hotel complex in Oakland. Looks like that heads-up you gave me about him and Troy "I'm not gay" Aikman has come to a head, so to speak...

Jonesy had another face lift & is putting himself in that spot. Saw him on TV the other night. His face was stretched so tight that his mouth was being pulled open towards his right temple.

On a website know for its devastating "replies" this one ranks waaaaay up there around the top!
And I'm not a Cowboy fan, per se....but you can't argue the results this franchise has acheived, and maintained for four decades.

They've been trying to reach Babe Laufenburg but he's fishing down in Mexico and didn't bring his phone... ;-) The Babe. I remember him appearing on the old FNN-Sports way back when Time for Trivia was required daily watching.

Jerry Jones has confirmed that Carter has been cut. Parcells daily press conference in about an hour.

Pittsburgh I am not worried about. Washington perhaps? Some of you may laugh, but the new upcoming team will be the Atlanta Falcons. New Ownership (a Home Depot Founder) wit a committed attitude to win, a new Coach(49ers D-Coach), and a healthy Michael Vick should make a great team. I would not discount the Falcons this year.
To: Badeye
I think Carter is a very decent guy. I don't think he would have been doing anything off the field that would have gotten him cut. It is likely his performance on the field that is a problem for Parcells.

I thought the same about Stanley Wilson, Ricky Williams, Lyle Alzado, etc etc etc.
I actually hope you are right....but my gut doesn't agree with your assertion.
Bottom line is Bill Parcells doesn't do anything related to football "casually".

He had a drug issue at Georgia. Even though they kept it burried. This is why I believe he left as soon as the new head coach(Marc Richt) came into town.

Write this down - sometime in the future (2 years ? 3 ?) you will be hearing this phrase - "Coming up on ESPN we will be interviewing Super Bowl MVP QB Drew Henson"

And to just make sure that Quincy doesn't come back, the team will be changing its name to its new Cowboy stadium location.
Hereafter the Irving Cowboys will become the Arlington Cowboys!
