Yup, it was Stabler. Teach me to second guess my NFL historical knowledge! Here's a great site for all the stats/rosters/etc of just about every NFL team in history... pretty neat site, in my opinion... BTW, Stabler was in 1982, 1 year after Bum got there... and Archie was still the QB - but I don't remember him at all, just Stabler and Campbell joining Bum in NO.....

"He can hack it, I guess."

Nine years younger than me. Of course if he were nine years older I'm sure he could run circles around this ol' 'boys fan.

I'll never forget that. And of course Lewis Billups dropped interception. Heartbreaking for a kid in 5th grade.....

Yes... I date myself by bringing these old memories up, huh? Do you, by chance, remember the Monday night game, in Dallas? The Saints were ahead 28-0, late in the 4th Quarter. "Snake" fumbled four times, leading to Dallas scores and they lost, of course. I still remember Dandy Don saying, "Awwww, Snake." Stabler retired the next day.

Having a good RB or not I will not tolerate interceptions and fumbles.

Anything but those. Sacks,whatever.

Hope we can get the ground game going, but if we can throw more touchdowns than interceptions thats a great start.

Im really ready for some football.

I miss Buddy Ryan, and the drama he brought to the sidelines.

The other one was Warren Moon for the Seattle Seahawks.

Was that the game where the camera zoomed in on a guy who appeared to be sleeping in the upper deck, he somehow knew the camera was on him and extended his middle finger, flipping off a national tv audience? Dandy Don, without missing a beat, said "there's a Saints fan letting us know his team is number 1."

Press conference NOW...

Jerry Jones - We are going in a different direction....it was not a difficult decision, but very disappointing.

Its got to be bad, not just about football, given how Jerry Jones just carefully worded this. You don't "go in a new direction" this abrubtly at the opening few days of training camp. "New direction" is a benching, not DRIVEN out of camp in your own car.

I guess I can see your point, I mean, after all, it's hard to pity a team with 52 playoff victories (NFL record), 8 conference championships (NFL record), and 5 Super Bowl victories (tied with the forty whiners for NFL record).

Queue the music...

"Memories, like the corners of my mind..."

Let us all shed a tear for the bygone glory days of the Dallas Cowboys.
