Also, look at the Marine's body language. He is obviously tense and looks like he is ready to spring into action if necessary. IMO, he would only be standing that way if someone were making some kind of physical motion toward him. Years of training would require that he react quickly if physically threatened.

I disagree with this explanation. The perspective is all wrong. If the finger/frame were in the same plane as the window, it would be angled down toward the lower right- just as the frame of the window and the 'other mirror' are. Additionally, I see Botox's pinky, ring, and middle fingers curled toward the palm as one naturally would when pointing.

(But after taking the time to compose a nice post, I see that others have beat me to the point. So here's a curt post instead:) Nice try, but I'm not buying it.

BTW, the better explanation is that Kerry was actually pointing to the Marine's left(between the 2 Marines) at something out of the picture, rather than at him, and that the nature of photography creates an illusion(lack of 3-d).

Thanks. I never thought it was his finger. I knew it was in the background but hadn't identified what it was. Kerry's finger is not that long.

2. The object is not parallel with the window or anything else in it.

3. Wendy's does not hang mirrors in its windows.

4. The finger clearly runs in front of the Marine, not behind him.

5. I also enlarged the picture. The length is correct and the knuckles are clearly visible.

Please, why is someone trying to make excuses for even this Kerry stupidity where there is clear photograph evidence.

If this was not satire, it was idiocy or a person dearly in need of Lasix surgery.
