Just breaking on CNN
There it is! The dreaded "Chatter"..
A couple of interesting lines:
" Ridge said it would be up to New York City officials to decide whether to move to the highest level, red. The city has remained on orange since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
The threat potential remains through the Nov. 2 elections, Ridge said." Stay safe.
Personally, I think every color level above green should allow every American citizen to openly carry firearms.
Maybe they are planning on quietly notifying the people who work in these buildings to not go. Rather than make a big media deal out of it, keep it low key, don't let the terrorists think they can disrupt our lives with threats.
If they get that idea, they will be calling in threats to every building in the US every day.
These Pru buildings already have high security. Not all visible but definitely in place.
ALLAH BE PRAISED - KILL THE REPUBLIKAN INFIDELS KILL THEM ALL!
"I'll get you my little pretties!"
Uh - yeah, I've figured it out. I'm just wondering if we're gonna keep lettin' 'em in.
dear God, FNC is off to yap about lori hacking all ready
Neenah, I hear you. I have dear nephews who work in "those buildings". I hope they're on vacation this month, but I doubt it.
It's too soon for NYC to have to go through such a thing again. NEVER AGAIN!
If I were a New Yorker, I'd ignore the concealed carry ban while this alert is on.
We will keep him, all NewYorkers, our friends from NJ and DC and this entire nation in our prayers
Remember,
This may happen anywhere in the US!
I thought I'd find you on this thread.
I'm getting worried now by all this talk of raising the threat level to Orange and the speculations of not onlu NYC and Washington,DC being targets but I though I saw someone post a list of possible target cities and one of them is Baltimore!
I live withing a 15 to 20 minute drive from Baltimore and about an hour and a half from Washington, DC.
I was on the DOSE thread trying to get someone to tyake me to NYC for the convention, but now I'm getting nervous, I ,ean, I know I don't have much money, but I figured I could scrimp and save enough for a ticket on AMtrak and a holet room. But now I don't know, should I go ahead and go to NYC with this terrorist threat level raised and level orange mean non esential persons can't enter certian buildings under threat. I don't like this much?
Great visual!
Remember when slick willie rushed thru thousands and thousands of applications for entrance into America without any investigation at all. So they could vote dem??
On TM we have been discussing attacks on the Vatican for weeks, this is coming down to the wire, I hope they have a response prepared!!!
So what would you have them do? Stay home? Notice they have the place but not the date. You want all those people to find other jobs. You want to just cave in to the terrorists?
If I worked there, yes, I'd go to work, but I'd have my eyes wide open looking for things that don't register right.
They will be inspecting all trucks coming into the area, they will be inspecting all packages. It's the people who will have to watch for things like backpacks or strange packages left around. It's the workers who will have to watch for the person who looks like they don't belong, or who looks frightened or drugged out.
If the NYSE is hit, do they have an alternate place to trade?
Vatican City is well-guarded. I don't think Al Quaeda could penetrate their defenses, except by air, and as far as I know, the ragheads don't have an Air Force yet.

Get under your bed. Stay there until we tell you it's safe to come out.
Just to announce if the smoking lamp is lit or not.
