I find your comments very enlightening. I'm with you on the thoughts of four years hence. The dems have a candidate already identified who has an established record, and is beloved by dems in general. The Republicans have what, an unknown by comparison. It will not be a pretty election in 2008 because bill&hillary will be a virtual shoe in. Maybe I'm missing something, is their an heir apparent for the next four years if the republicans win this one?

I live in Virginia Beach, Denton's sons still lives here (so does McCain's son); Denton is still a good friend of Jim Mulligan (another POW) who I do a fair amount of business with.

I believe so. I remember seeing film of this on the evening news at the time. I was riveted, both by his courage and by just how damn clever he was. Admirable in every way.
To put it bluntly, John Kerry exemplifies the very reasons that I switched to the Republican Party. Like the majority in his political party, he has proven by his words and actions that his list of priorities -- his ideas on what most needs to be done to improve this country -- are almost opposite to my own.
