The campaign of Sen. John Kerry yesterday accused NASA of leaking a widely circulated photo that shows the candidate wrapped from top to bottom in a baby blue "bunny suit," implying that it was a "dirty trick."
One campaign official told The Washington Times last night: "All I can say is it was not an authorized release."
But the National Aeronautics and Space Administration told Fox News that the Kerry team saw the photos before publication and passed on their release.
A NASA spokesman told the top-rated cable network that the images were given to the Kerry campaign to review before several were posted on the Kennedy Space Center Web site.
In no way were photographs "leaked," the spokesman said.
But campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill said in an interview with Fox, "This was a leaked photo."
She said the campaign never was told that the photographs, which are drawing ridicule and comparison with the Michael Dukakis "tank" photo on the Internet and talk radio, would be taken during a campaign stop at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Yes, he is a good man but not a stupid one. He had to know Kennedy would stab him in the back. Bush really tried to be the unifier he said he was, in the beginning.
I live in South Texas and wish they would do something about the borders. I think the President may be catering to the Hispanics on this matter.
I liked him as Governor and he knows how to run things. Anyway, thanks for your nice reply.
Kerry's problem is that he doesnt know how to make it look good, or that he knows what he's doing in said outfit.
Pray for W and The Troops
Looks like lots of pictures and he posed for every one.
Kerry has already given CNN headline news video of Bush picking his nose at a Rangers game about 15 years ago. Cnn,of course played it to get back at Bush.
These Dem-bastards are going to fight dirty.
I think the dimwits are peeved because the picture illustrates what an a**hole Kaptain Ketchup really is.
Not necessarily.
Did you ever look like a total dork smiling a goofy smile because you were proud of having just completed Michael Moore's manned colonoscopy?
That's from same DUorks who thought it so horrific that Bush- a former pilot- actually wore a flightsuit on a flight to the carrier. A suit's mandatory gear on a Navy jet, and it's not like he's never worn one before.
Gosh...if Kerry didn't know he was being photographed....he is definitely unfit to be president!
He must be a very 'spaced out space kadet'
Ummmmmm. no.
This is gonna enrage a lot of "girlie men."
Kerry reaches for Uranus...

It isn't the garb. It's the goof in the garb. I also hold my sides when Kerry wears his other costumes: hockey suit, skiboarding suit, ski jacket with daisy chain pull, etc. I have no problem with tanks and helmets either, but when Dukakis looked like Arte Johnson doing his German soldier act on Laugh-In, well, I couldn't keep the chuckles inside.
put some bigger rabbit teeth on him :-)
