Drudge had a report as shown in the title. False, apparently, as he pulled it from his website. (For tinfoil hat types -- if not false, the Feds put a lid on any news coming out on it.) We're just listening to other crap that's going on in the city. Typical big city stuff fights, mugging, shooting, etc.

A massive search of the area began shortly after midnight when a National Guardsman reported that he thought he saw parachutes descending in the vicinity of the Thomas P. O'Neill Federal Building on Causeway Street, which is adjacent to the FleetCenter. State Police used a helicopter with searchlights and infrared cameras to search the roof of the O'Neill building and the surrounding area but found nothing and concluded there had been no incident.
"There is nothing on the roof," said Boston police officer Nadine Taylor-Miller at the joint information center. "We had an unconfirmed report, but they didn't find any people or parachutes."

I found a webcam on the 20th floor of the fleet center with 6 angles but its only from 7:30AM to 7:30PM their time

So it's a genuine mystery . . . wonder what that soldier could have seen . . . and if a team of terrorists hit the roof with a plan to quickly hide their chutes and themselves, then they could be at large right now within the hardened security zone . . . can you imagine a prime time "hijacking" of the convention itself (and I'm not talking about Hillary here) . . .

BOSTON -- State police are still investigating reports that parachutists landed near the FleetCenter Sunday night, but there is little information about what may have been only a security drill.
Gail Huff Reports On Parachute Incident
The FleetCenter is the site of the Democratic National Convention, which begins Monday night.
NewsCenter 5's Gail Huff reported that military police called in reports just after midnight that two parachutists had landed in the yard of the Charles River Park condominium complex. Additional reports indicated there were also parachutists on the top of the Tip O'Neill Federal Building located next door to the FleetCenter.
Before police helicopters arrived, officers on the ground covered the area, sending officers to the roofs of the buildings. SWAT teams went to the top of the federal building. All available state and local officers responded, some with K9 units. Nothing was found and state police said no one was arrested.
Sunday was a busy day for officers patroling the city, harbor and skies around the FleetCenter. On city roads, unscheduled stops were the norm for many truck drivers trying to get through the city's roads and tunnels. On the city's mass transit system, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority was also conducting random searches of commuters, who were advised to travel lightly.
During demonstrations on Beacon Hill Sunday, state police officers were wearing full riot gear, ready for combat. Armed, camouflage-wearing soldiers are patroling the old elevated railway near the FleetCenter in groups of threes, and bike-riding Boston police officers were blanketing the parks.

This post has new info - it says there were multiple reports of parachutists in two separate locations. It also says the reports were made by Military Police, not by nutcase civilians (who may also have seen them). It also uses the words "additional reports" - plural, meaning it wasn't just the one National Guardsman who saw them.
Last night's post by Karl implied that the response to the apartment may have simply been to talk to someone who thought they saw the SAME parachutists as were seen at the Federal building. This report indicates they were separate incidents, with separate parachutists landing at the apartment.
Now it's reasonably possible that a single National Guard guy may have imagined seeing parachutists... but it's NOT reasonably possible that multiple people imagined multiple parachutists at multiple locations.
So either there was a mini Red Dawn, or not. Or the story is in the process of being buried. Now, are we all clear as mud??
