Since he was under contract with the Dophins when he retired, they would own his rights if he ever decides to unretire.

It's always prudent to have fantasy drafts closer to the season. Ricky Williams most likely would have been picked in the first or high 2nd round.

He could still do very well if he took what he had and did the right thing with it... oh, heck, I don't suppose that's very likely, is it?
It's funny, people look at sports stars with envy of their wealth, but in so many of these cases their wealth just makes the drop to the bottom all the longer and more difficult.

Do you have any evidence to cite that this is what he does or did do? His Rastafarian dreadlocks? ;)

Perhaps the Libertarians can talk him into running on their ticket...

Yeah, what talent- too bad he never used any of it while playing for the Saints. Guy was a pain in the ass, from what I hear.

Wasn't this dread-locked guy moaning about "not being motivated" last year, too? And the man who once was on the cover a sports mag in a wedding dress.

Barry Sanders did the same thing to Detroit a few years ago. Sanders retired so that he could travel. After game 16 of the previous season, he made the decision to retire didn't announce the it until the week before training camp.

What an incredible football talent just walking away. Negligible compared to Barry Sanders.
To: Semper Paratus
I don't buy it. He's just being Ricky. He'll play this season for the Dolphins, bet on it.

I'm an Eagle fan myself, and was disgusted by those fans booing McNabb.Aw c'mon. That's just the way Philly puts out the welcome mat. It's a Philly tradition to boo the draft choices.

Who is Ricky Williams? Who knows? Who cares?
But I'm pretty sure in 3 years he'll be a 300-lb illiterate barfly, bumming well drinks in exchange for old stories.

Williams said there was no chance he would change his mind. Translation: Expect him back in training camp shortly.
