PARIS - Lance Armstrong rode into history Sunday by winning the Tour de France for a record sixth time, an achievement that confirmed him as one of the greatest sportsmen of all time.

While I don't admire Armstrong as much as I used to, I applaud anything that enfuriates the French.

Armstrong — easy to pick out of the pack in his leader's yellow jersey and gold-colored aerodynamic helmet — laughed and chatted with adversaries while his squad rode around to keep him safe."

Excellent. Way to go Lance. This is a great sports achievement. Course it doesn't hurt to stick your thumb in France's eye when an opportunity presents itself either. I doubt Lance was thinking of that though. Good job.
