Does "special coding" involve some exotic technique like, I don't know....numbering pages? Amazing how well that works.

"I swear I read in one of the first online breaking news stories that the Archive employees called Clinton's lawyer Bruce Lindsay first...then Lindsay informed Berger...then the Archive employees went to his house and picked up the documents except for the one's he thinks he musta thrown away. Have I lost my mind or has the story changed?"

No you have not lost your mind. I read the exact same story.

I really don't know why you are assuming that Sandy leaked this, because an indictment is just around the corner.Leaking it wouldn't stop the indictment. It's far MORE likely, that he's been biting his fingernails waiting to hear something, ANYTHING,and this is his way to hustle it up;make sure that he isn't hauled away,in handcuffs, the midst of the Dem Convention.

The wheels of justice grind slowly. The FBI is NOT going to play on Sandy or anyone else's time span.Knowing this, you bet your bottom dollar that this WILL have legs! THE SWORD OF DAMECLES IS STILL HANGING OVER SANDY'S HEAD.And nobody knows how many other heads as well.

Somebody in an earlier thread said that there are cameras and tapes are reviewed.

Could be the other shoe to drop...

There's more to this than meets the eye...I know about National Security investigations having been through one. Investigating and prosecuting what Sandy Berger did doesn't take this long to complete.

Given that they had already made the moves they had, wouldn't 2. be a more likely scenario? I'm hoping, anyway.

No, no, not the *content*, but the *who*.

The Washington Post is now front-paging this scandal. It has now entered into Watergate territory.

Food for thought. Remember when Bush was interviewed by the 911 commission ? Didn't some Rats leave the meeting abruptly ? Can there be a connection ? Were they somehow involved ? Were they asked to leave ?

Your comments are exactly what in my opinion Hewitt was trying to make! It's those notes in the margins that Berger, etc al was writting that has him worried, imho.

It smells more like an espionage investigation, rather than a case like Deutche in which he mishandled classified. The Bureau was looking for the 'big fish'.

Damned if I know why it's taking so long.Maybe it's the process. The FBI wanted stuff,Sandy wasn't willing to give said "stuff",so the FBI decided to wait him out and now,NOW,he's talking about giving up "stuff".

"I'm betting-and hoping-that Berger is charged before the end of July."

Let's hope he is charged on next Thursday - the same day Kerry gives his big speech (haha)

So CNN and Aaron will refuse to cover the House Panel? They will let FNC scoop them totally? Only WaTi will report it in print?

Sounds like suicidal breath-holding on the part of the media, to me.

Berger, the DNC, Clinton and Kerry will bleed over this as the investigation continues. The media will reluctantly decide they have to cover it. They will spin and we will only see flak-catchers on those channels, but they will cover it.

And viewers will flock to Fair and Balanced.
