Nuclear arms reportedly found in Iraq

BAGHDAD, July 21 (UPI) -- Iraqi security reportedly discovered three missiles carrying nuclear heads concealed in a concrete trench northwest of Baghdad, official sources said Wednesday. The official daily al-Sabah quoted the sources as saying the missiles were discovered in trenches near the city of Tikrit, the hometown of ousted Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. "The three missiles were discovered by chance when the Iraqi security forces captured former Baath party official Khoder al-Douri who revealed during interrogation the location of the missiles saying they carried nuclear heads," the sources said. They pointed out that the missiles were actually discovered in the trenches lying under six meters of concrete and designed in a way to unable sophisticated sensors from discovering nuclear radiation. The sources said al-Douri, who is related to former Vice Chairman of the Iraq Revolution Council and Saddam's right-hand man Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, was captured after Iraqi police intercepted an e-mail message in which he set a meeting with another former Baath official. The report could not be authenticated by the interior ministry or the national security department, but the paper noted Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiar Zibari made a surprise request recently to Mohammed el-Baradei, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, to resume inspections for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

And if it's valid, let's pray that none of the "undiscovered" bombs, dirty or otherwise, have found their way over here or anywhere else for that matter.

If there were three in Iraq, there are probably 30 or so in Sryia.

If this news is true, it will be interesting to see how the presstitutes spin it to minimized the damage to their blood brothers in the Democrat party.

I'll bet the Iraqis have some pretty persuasive interrogation techniques- and they'd want the UN in quick to verify because they know it's the only way the world will see this as legit. Sure hope it's true.

They said that the Iraqis are looking into it, but the Iraqi minister called it "stupid."

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraq's Interior Ministry dismissed as "stupid" a report in a local newspaper Wednesday that said three nuclear missiles had been found near the town of Tikrit.
A senior U.S. military official told reporters he had no information on the report in the newspaper al-Sabah. He said officials were checking the report.

Asked by Reuters about the report, a spokesman at the Interior Ministry said: "It's stupid."

I saw another thread which Reuters quoted the Iraqi Prime Minister calling it "stupid". But, the thread had no link. I went to Reuters and the denial story is not on their website

http://www.reuters.com/newsChannel.jhtml?type=worldNews

Can anyone else link to the denial of the story

They still need a delivery system. At one time, I believe the inspectors found launchers that were way over specs of what they were allowed to deliver (93 miles).

>>The Clintons will be laughing about it next week, too...

If the reports are correct that Bruce Lindsey was notified last OCTOBER, then Slick Willie clearly knew back then too!

So then yesterdays news that Willie was LAUGHING about this would be confirmation that they are trying their hardest to SPIN the Berger story now!

My Caution Flag is still out on this story. UPI is only quoting the Iraqi paper. Before I start doing cartwheels down the halls of my office, I need some more verification.

The Dims need to send 'The Berglar' into Iraq to 'inadvertantly' put the nukes in his pants.

Ohh! That is very potent! Then he would be much larger than just "Berger the Burgler".

Not a nuke specialist, however, what is the point in having them "IF" they do, if they have no delivery method. Did the US & coalition interrupt the delivery system by invading?

This story is strange, and "IF" true then somebody has some explaining to do.
