Not a surprise.
Interviewed by Katie Couric who was suited up in her softball uniform, David Gergen blithely dismissed Berger's actions in a featured segment at the top of the Today show, July 20.
Ourtageously, Gergen called the Clintonoid who made off with top secret documents a "hero."
Gergen even suggested that the accusations were politically motivated to stave off criticisms of GWB being generated in an election year.
Little or no mention was made of Berger's post as Kerry's adviser except to say he might have to go on hiatus from the job.
Berger, a former top US gov't official resorted to stuffing secret documents down his pants, like some cheap crook shoplifting underwear at Wal-Mart.
The stolen documents must been extraordinarily incriminating to Berger and the Clintons. He was scared silly somebody would see what was in them, and was determined to remove them.
Stuffing secret documents down your pants like a second-rate shoplifter is the desperate act of a very, very worried individual on the verge of paranoia.
Berger's admissions indicate he must be caught on tape doing the dastardly deed since a Clintonoid has a distinct aversion to admitting to a crime.
It's typical of the Clintonoid spin cycle........ to claim victimhood while committing crimes against the state.
The Today show and other media who downplay this story or try to misapply the blame should be dealt with promptly.

Dear Mr. Keen and Mr. Hamilton,
The appalling activities of Sandy Berger must be addressed. The Commission needs to give a thorough public airing of the Berger incident. This is a federal crime and the proper criminal charges should be made. Berger placed the safety and security of Americans at risk.
The Commission must be clear in its report as to who got to see what documents and under what conditions. Your final report should advise Americans about this process.
The Commission has already been compromised.
The Commission must elaborate on what is clearly the Clinton Administration's obstructionist tactics with regard to relevant information in its possession that it failed to reveal to the incoming administration.
Signed,
David Gergen said several times that Berger did not take originals. He kept saying he didn't have all the facts and Katie never corrected him. Berger did take originals the way I understand it.
what do you expect from the DNC show
Actually, the law is pretty clear: 10 years and $10,000 per offense. Let's just try him in court. Prefer charges and let's go.
This story will be around until Christmas if that happens, because it's a guarantee that Berger will fight the charges. He'll hire lawyers, they'll stall, and the press won't be able to ignore it.
Katie to Berger - "Is that classified documents down your pants or are you just happy to see me?"
The spin this morning - Let's forget about why Berger was shuving classified documents down his pants - and instead probe into the evil Bush whitehouse to find out who leaked this story to the press.
Not lost, shredded and thrown out with the trash is more like it.
Thanks for the post. Calls are good.
Although I always get replies to my emails.
Not blaming the I-Man. Just interested to see what he'd do with the story.
Why are you so surprise and upset?
Did they have another showing of the prison abuse or did they deal with how stupid GW was/is and will be.
ABCNNBC BS will never do the correct thing re news. That is a reality.
bttt
If Martha goes to Jail, so should Berger.
Bump for tossing a cream pie into the perky one's perky little mug.
Sounds good to me.
Yeah, I never do either. Turned it off soon as Gergen regurgitated his last disgusting word.
"Not a surprise."
No truer words were ever written.
Thanks for those addresses. They'll all be utilized shortly.
BUMP
Email does nothing.

Who are the advertisers for the Today show?
Maybe it would help to contact them about Katie's [lack of honest] coverage.
I don't get NBC, so I can't check...
Oh, I agree completely. I would love to hear what he would have said had he not been taking care of those sick kids in New Mexico right now.
Bump!
