Not a surprise.
Interviewed by Katie Couric who was suited up in her softball uniform, David Gergen blithely dismissed Berger's actions in a featured segment at the top of the Today show, July 20.
Ourtageously, Gergen called the Clintonoid who made off with top secret documents a "hero."
Gergen even suggested that the accusations were politically motivated to stave off criticisms of GWB being generated in an election year.
Little or no mention was made of Berger's post as Kerry's adviser except to say he might have to go on hiatus from the job.
Berger, a former top US gov't official resorted to stuffing secret documents down his pants, like some cheap crook shoplifting underwear at Wal-Mart.
The stolen documents must been extraordinarily incriminating to Berger and the Clintons. He was scared silly somebody would see what was in them, and was determined to remove them.
Stuffing secret documents down your pants like a second-rate shoplifter is the desperate act of a very, very worried individual on the verge of paranoia.
Berger's admissions indicate he must be caught on tape doing the dastardly deed since a Clintonoid has a distinct aversion to admitting to a crime.
It's typical of the Clintonoid spin cycle........ to claim victimhood while committing crimes against the state.
The Today show and other media who downplay this story or try to misapply the blame should be dealt with promptly.
We will not watch NBC until they report the whole story.
We will not watch NBC if they plan to schedule Gergen.

They are making themselves accessories in their silence. This is a twist on the thought crime idea.
ABC's GMA made no mention of this story, at least not to this point. NBC, whether you like the spin or not at least made mention of Berger's theft of sensitive 9-11 hearing documents.
What a shame.
This story was also featured on all the Cable Newtorks. NBC and that whore Gergen won't be able to dismiss this.
The Rats fax machines must have been busy last night..sending Gergen out to defend Berger...it's hard to explain Berger's theft once, but he did it twice.
thanks for starting my day!!
Thanks for the email addresses. Letter's sent. Has someone composed a list of advertisers?
David "Rodham" Gergen. Gergen must have gotten the call as soon as this came out. Gergen sold his soul long ago for his fifteen minutes of fame .
Much shame to you, David Rodham Gergen.
Berger stole the documents because he was trying to cover up embarrassing facts to himself and to Clinton.
bump!
David Gergen is currently a professor of public service at Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government and director of its Center for Public Leadership. He is also editor-at-large for U.S. News & World Report.
CNN had Jeff Toobin on this morning to basically dismiss the whole incident. No mention or question as to why Berger would stuff things in his clothing. No mention as to why a guy like Berger--who certainly understands the requirements and laws regarding secret documents--would "blunder" in this way.
Toobin was outrageous in his dismissiveness of the theft. He talked as if all Berger took were notes he made from the originals. No mention that originals were taken and "lost."
You are welcome........looks like all the Clintonoids spent time training at Wal-Mart.
Although some Clintonoids may have been trsained at the Hotsy Totsy Escort Service.
Gergen got debriefed by DNC Spinmeisters, for sure.
Toobin is always outrageous.
